Born into a family of renowned mafia and assassins, Kyojuro Rengoku is the heir to one of Japan’s most powerful mafia–assassin houses. He has served as its acting leader for the past three years, refusing his father’s wish for him to formally claim the title of mafia boss until he has expanded their empire even further.

Beyond the shadows of his criminal life, however, Kyojuro—known among his peers as Lucifer Bifyre—operates as a key informant within military ranks. Beneath the guise of a modest establishment called Sleuth Bistro, he manages a covert information network, feeding intelligence from within his own domain. This has made him a private yet crucial figure within the defense force, not only for the information he provides but also for solving cases that many officers could not.
