Snowbreak: Containment Zone - uncensor via localization.txt
This guide will walk you through how uncesor Snowbreak: Containment Zone by editing the localization.txt
file.
π₯ PC - Standalone Client
- Launch the game launcher.
- Click the βοΈ Settings icon at the top right.
- Under Game Contents, click the View button to open the gameβs install folder.
- Locate the
localization.txt
file. - Open it in Notepad or another simple text editor.

Change the
0
to a1
.Example:
localization = 0
βlocalization = 1
- (Optional) If you cannot save the file:
- Right-click the file β Properties β Security tab
- Edit User permissions to allow Write
- Save the file. The changes will be active the next time you launch the game.
Steam Version
- In your Steam Library, right-click Snowbreak.
- Click Manage β Browse local files.
- Find the
localization.txt
file using the file path opened. - Open it and change the
0
to a1
as above. - Save the file and restart the game.
Android
- Connect your Android device to your computer.
- Set it to File Transfer Mode.
- Navigate to the following folder:
- Copy the
localization.txt
file to your PC. - Edit the file (change
0
to1
) and save. -
Copy the modified file back into the same folder on your device.
π‘ If you're unable to overwrite the file, try deleting the original first, then copy the edited file in.
IOS

Open the Files app on your iPhone or iPad.
β οΈ If you don't see any game files, launch Snowbreak and let it fully download all resources first.
- In the search bar, type:
- Look for the game's folder or files related to Snowbreak: Containment Zone.
- Locate the following file:
- Open the file using a text editor app like:
- Pages
- WPS Office
- Any basic text editor that supports plain text
- Inside the file, find:
- Change it to:
- Change it to:
- Save the file and copy it.
- Replace the original
localization
file with your edited version in the same location. - β
Reopen the file to double-check that it now says:

- Try deleting the original before copying in the edited version.
