The Player Character: Human. Ex military. A ground pounder. Tank platoon leader. We've seen combat.
Assumptions: We were a first or second lieutenant. We know our way around firearms.
Equipment: A badge. A police tablet. A gun.
Biased opinion: We're a bit ethically challenged shall we say. That's not even including our sex drive.

A pretty panther female: Aged 36. Sentenced to slavery for 9,999 years. Crime is [CLASSIFIED - CONSPIRACY]. We've made use of her. She's back on the orbital station.
Assumptions: She's Leke Abou's wife? We should talk to her at some point?

Captain Bruno: Horse anthro in the local militia. He summoned us to investigate the murder.
Assumptions: Presumably, we can call on him for help. We probably need to report back to him at some point. He's given us a lot of authority and not much in the way of supervision.
Biased opinion: He only really cares about his people and the world of Teppu. I don't think he cares about the absolute truth of the murder as long as we come up with a reasonable solution, and don't cause outrageous problems.

Aldert: Human. The corpse. Owns the mansion. Killed by a knife through the throat. Ex military.
Assumptions: Mixed reviews as to his humanity. Helps some. Hurts some. Alcoholic.
The murder scene: A shattered glass table, a pool of blood on the floor with Aldert lying facefirst in it, his head and neck at an odd angle due to a kitchen knife in his neck. A bit away stands a shattered table with a finely prepared steak and some other finities of dining. The fork was quite a bit away. The chair was toppled over. Aldert’s wearing a night robe.

Su: Human. Age 34. Aldert's close friend. He's an alcoholic disaster. He's the one who found Aldert dead after he woke up in Aldert's room on the floor. Discharged from military for striking a superior officer. Has the hots for Anke.
Assumptions: He's the most obvious suspect. He's the most obvious fall guy/red herring. Doesn't like Fikra because she's too boyish.
Biased opinion: If nothing else we can pin the murder on him.

Sergio: White furred fox. Age 31. Slim and soft and looks more like 20. Sentenced to slavery for desertion. His slavery is brutal.
Assumptions: Naqa was his most immediate supervisor during the murder time-frame and bosses him around.
Biased opinion: He's being treated so brutally, and chemically, and sleep deprived he just might be bonkers.

Gete Bona: Tiger girl. Age 29. Administrator. Not a slave. Gorgeous, knows it, shows it. Married to Tamrat Bona. Has kids. Doesn't like Aldert because he monopolizes her husband's time and admits it.
Assumptions: Her marriage is on the rocks.
Biased opinion: If we want to have some fun with a tiger girl, well, here she is. That's a really bad idea. Go play with the dragon girl. If she happens to be the murderer I'm inclined to pin this on someone else.

Tamrat Bona: A cheetah. Has one arm. Lost it in combat. Head servant in charge of the others. Not a slave. Served in military under Aldert. Married to Gete Bona. Extremely loyal to Aldert. Appears to be sex transitioning.
Assumptions: His marriage is on the rocks. Was fucking Aldert. The sex transition is voluntary?
Biased opinion: Facepalm. Transitioning? Aldert is loyal to and has been known to help those he directly befriends so this could be completely legitimate and voluntary.

Witold: Horse boy. Pride, elegance and pedigree, and shows it. Slim elegant build. Personal assistant. Slave. And ... he's been brutalized.
Assumptions: He's pretty intelligent and useful. Doesn't like Sanna.
Biased opinion: Good sidekick. Let's take care of him. If we had payed closer attention to him we would probably be farther along in the investigation by now.

Reptiloids: The locals.
Assumptions: As per Witold, don't like slaves, don't like imported labor, don't like humans, don't like Aldert.
Biased opinion: Maybe they're the background cause, but they didn't collectively sneak in and murder Aldert. We need to find the actual murderer. Shrug.

Leke Abou: Aldert's bodyguard. Warbuddy of Aldert. Lives in the village of Eshe. Has a wife and four sons. Wife was Anyi (age 34), sons were Max, Marc, Um and Bello. Ages 18-14. All are panthers. All are missing.

Fikra: Short lizard girl. Age 19. General purpose house servant. Not a slave. Flat chested but otherwise cute. She sneaks out to visit her sick mother. Naqa is aware she does this.
Assumptions: She's Su's primary servant? We don't care about her mother.

Amalia: Chubby wolf. Age 28. Skilled cook.
Assumptions: She's sneaking out on duty to see: Caspar, a male husky. He works in a canning factory. We need a cook for this crew.
Biased opinion: Unless we need the leverage, we still don't care who she's seeing. Kiss the Kook.

Ubalnu: Dragon-girl. Human-reptiloid hybrid. Gorgeous bombshell. Playboy toy. Slave.
Assumptions: She believes none of the slaves wanted to harm Aldert because his future wife is a cruel monster. Appears to be OK with being inherited by Anke. As a boy toy slave she knows the score and is very accommodating. Fun stuff aside, she's been useful.
Biased opinion: She's obviously not stupid, and she's likely a lot smarter than she appears, so a little caution is advised. Right. She can't be the murderer and we can prove that by pinning it on someone else. Right?

Loreta: Another alcoholic. Human supremacist, cruel to anthro slaves, etc. Aldret's fiancee.
Assumptions: She does not inherit. We had her fuck off to the station and she's still out there.
Biased opinion: With everything else he has what did she bring to the table for Aldret? Why marry her? Interested in Su? Or, maybe, used Su to get back at Aldert for all his philandering?

Aria: White fox girl. Anke's servant. Loyal. Useful. Exchanged messages with Anke on her phone recently.
Assumptions: Very loyal but not inflexibly stupid as long as she believe she is acting in Anke's best interest.
Biased opinion: We probably dodged a bullet here by being professional. Let's continue to protect her by not admitting she was our source on Anke's whereabouts and activities.

Anke: Aldert's sister. Likes hiking. Owns her own house. Fox servant named Aria.
Assumptions: She gets all the inheritance. She's out and about fucking scalies. Has a bdsm fetish.
Biased opinion: She don't need rescuing. Whatever her hobbies are, dear god in heaven I hope she turns out to be a sane non-alcoholic.

Aralu: Local administrator. Gryphon. Exchanged messages with Anke on her phone recently.
Assumption: Was Anke's slave previously. We don't know anything else.

"Panther": Exchanged messages with Anke on her phone recently.
Assumption: Related to Leke Abou? We don't know anything else.

Naqa: Lizard girl. Landscaper. Age 28. Not a slave. Punch clock party girl.
Biased Opinion: Eh. At least we know who to turn to if we need to score some Ecstasy/MDMA.

Sanna: Qarian female, Pretty. Can give Ubalnu a run for her money with overt displays of sexuality. Aldret's secretary. Not a slave. Competent.
Assumptions: Was working double shifts to pay off a debt before Aldert hired her. Very unlikely to be the murderer for that reason. Social/financial climber, but not to the point of hurting others to achieve her goals. Not vindictive?
Biased opinion: We probably owe her an apology for rejecting her enthusiasm.

Khoshe: Sanghili. Age 18. Female. Servant. Not a slave. Wears bondage gear, some pretty invasive, and that's all she wears. Her father served under Aldert.
Assumptions: War orphan which makes her lucky not to be a slave. Nevertheless her maid uniform is over the top. Even Ubalnu isn't subject to this level of public perversity. On par with Sergio in that respect. She's pissed off about it too.
Biased opinion: I'm unfamiliar with the Haloverse such that I might be missing something about the nature of the species.

Zulfe: Lizard boy. Local street kid from Eshe village. Age 18. Offers us information on the Abou’s for a price. We let Witold work him over instead. "A month ago a dozen police uniformed lizardmen arrested the Abou's" and took them away in a van.
Biased opinion: NOBODY EXPECTS THE PARTY VAN LOL!

A police tablet: "Why no one like nice tablet? Makes good notes an stuff!"
Biased opinion: Reptiloids (ahem) have been known to make their batteries explode?
