July 2nd 1133 VTE, Port-Royale, Kingdom of Oiseau

Kronprinz Ferdinand of the Holy Iridisian Empire, destined to marry the Princesse Royale of Oiseau, had finally arrived in Port-Royale after a 3 month journey. With him came an utterly massive entourage. It wasn’t just the Crown Prince, but the entire Imperial Court and many nobles from across the Empire.Though he was indeed the Kronprinz, and future Kaiser, he hardly cracked the top 5 of the most important individuals that had made the trip. The King of Dråkenland, the Archbishop of, the Ecumenical Patriarch, and the Emperor and Empress themselves.

His betrothal was strictly a political one, one that would tie the wealthy Kingdom to the many crowns of the House of Greifswald. The army he brought along was merely a commitment to this alliance that soon would be forged by the union, that would expunge the Ghazis finally from Oiseau. It was the present of his father, the legendary Pomerlane, for the wedding and this present was a mutually beneficial one for all parties. Ferdinand would finally get the opportunity to lead an army himself, and prove himself worthy of the crowns his father had won.

With him, came both unproven talent and legendary commanders. The famous Field Marshals, Kieselbach and Schwerin would guide the young prince in his efforts, along with the many talented yet unproven junior commanders. The cream of the Pomeranian officer corps was ready to prove itself once more to be the best General Staff in the whole world. New legends were ready to be forged, and Ferdinand hoped he would become one of them. After all, the shoes he had to fill were impossible by any standards
