regardless of that, OBVIOUSLY id be scared shitless if i was ambushed in the dead of the night by somebody at night while trying to pet a kitty. she is not wrong for being scared, there’s also her voiceline about Arlecchino, which she isn’t wrong to think Arlecchino is scary but it’s not like Arlecchino was the sole cause of Furina's trauma in any way,

it was moreso of her being exposed as a human she was scared of. there is no abuse in their dynamic to be found at all. Furina suffered for 500 years, there are more issues and complications in that regard rather than a simple scare from an unknown person. Furina is mentally stronger than the entire cast, and would be scared if it wasnt Arlecchino anyway, because she knows she is powerless.

you also cant really trust Hoyo on voicelines, since a lot of them seemed pre-written. you can see this with majority of the fatui harbingers and the fact what Childe said about Columbina doesn't match up with who she is now. take this voiceline with a grain of salt.

she even confirms in game that she cannot fight regardless, this also reflects in her kit because her vision & The Salon Solitaire does the work for her. she is a sword user but moreso doesnt parttake in any actual melee, but instead shows that she is a figure of opera.

even after the archon quest, Arlecchino and Clorinde were the only individuals to make amends with Furina. you cant really blame Arlecchino for not apologizing “properly" either, because she is bad at emotions given how she grew up. but she does indeed try to make it up to Furina.
