Natural Resources

Mining

Mining in the northern mountainous region of Infinity has been a booming industry for millennia. However, the recent rapid industrialization of the country has put an even higher demand for mined resources. Mt. Boros, the dormant volcano in the center of the main island, has long been protected under law from mining due to its religious significance, but in recent decades it has been allowed to mine at its base.

Iron (not for export)

Iron is one of the most important resources in Infinity. Rich ore veins have been worked since the days of the ancestors, and will likely be mined for many more generations. It is often used in construction of military technology.

Coal (not for export)

Coal is becoming a popular source of energy in Infinity, with the demand ramping up for half a century with no sign of slowing down. Due to the heath hazards of coal mining that kronies are only beginning to understand, slave labor from imprisoned schizos is often employed.

Copper

Copper is a common metal found in Infinity. Used in construction, and in the currency of the country.

Tin

Tin is fairly common throughout Infinity, and has seen a much higher demand than ever before once the use of tin-lined iron cans for food preservation became common place nationally.

Salt

Salt is a necessary resource in food preservation and has been harvested since the ancient times. Mining it is very dangerous due to the intense dehydration down in salt mines, and so prison labor is often used. Salt is also extracted from the sea.

Diamonds

Due to the increasing demand for iron and coal, mining zones expanded into the base of Mt. Boros. The new mines revealed diamonds, a rare and beautiful gemstone.

Lumber

Wood is used for construction in much of the country, and is the primary fuel for starting fires to keep warm in winters, and all year round in the north.

Common Oak
Silver Birch
Common Beech
Silver Maple

Agriculture

The island of Infinity was once home to only a few indigenous fruits and crops, but Takeshi nomads who migrated thousands of years ago to the island brought with them some produce from the mainland. Now the island is home to many crops.

Apples
Artichokes
Asparagus
Sugarbeets
Cabbage
Carrots
Clover
Figs
Grapes
Hazelnuts
Hops
Leeks
Lettuce
Olives

Fishing

Infinity is home to a variety of fish used in local cuisine. Most of the population relied on fish for meat during the Great Storm, with much of the best act he's coming from the south of the main island.

Tuna
Mackerel
Salmon
Sardines
Anchovies

Animal Husbandry

Pigs

Pigs are common farm animals in Infinity due to the perceived simplicity of raising, feeding, and maintaining them. They are raised mostly for their meat, though their hide is also used in leatherworking. Pigskin is often used in tools and heavy duty wear like boots and jackets due to its resilience.

Goats

Like pigs, goats are considered easy to raise, feed, and maintain. They are raised for their meat, milk, and hide. Wooly goats are also raised in the colder north due to their hardiness. Goat leather is often used in lighter clothes, shoes, and bags.

Chickens

Chickens have become popular as farm animals in Infinity after the country became allied with the KFP, and private farm owners bought the animals from overseas. They provide meat and eggs with little fuss, making them common to see even in private households.

Sheep

Sheep are some of the common farm animals raised in Infinity. While they are raised for meat, milk, and hide, they also provide wool throughout their lives which is used in clothing for people up north and soldiers stationed in Schizograd and Saint Kronii, as well as luxury wear. Sheep leather is soft and is used as parchment and fashionable clothing of the upper class.

Horses

While not raised for their meat or hide, horses are still common in Infinity as draft animals and as riding animals. They have become more popular in recent years as kronies began stationing soldiers in Risu and /meat/ territories.

Cows

Unlike many other countries, cows are not a common farm animal. Introduced only after the nation opened up from centuries of isolationism, they are fewer in number than other beasts. They are as hardy or even hardier than goats in harsh temperatures, but are larger and require more feed. Combined with less expertise in raising them, they are considered expensive to maintain, and consuming their meat and milk or wearing their leather have become something of sign of wealth and nobility.

Manufactured Goods

Alcohol

With little time to relax during the Age of Isolation, and with the hostile cold of the Great Winter, it was only natural kronies became experts in brewing and distilling alcohol to forget their troubles and stay warm.

Cider
Wine
Brandy
Beer
Ale
Vodka

Preserved Food

Due to the intense conditions of the Great Winter, farming was difficult, and so they came to rely on food preservation to survive periods of time without rgowing anything. With recent developmens in tin cans, ice boxes, and faster steam powered boats, well-preserved food has become easier to keep as rations for soldiers, and soon became ready for export.

Derived Products

Other products we have for export, processed from fruits, vegetables, or meat.

Soap

Made from goat tallow or leaf fat from a pig, lye from maple or oak ashes, mixed and molded into blocks of soap safe for human skin.

Olive Oil

Made from olives. Good for cooking.

Sugar

Extracted from sugarbeets. Sweet.

Fish Sauce

A salty condiment from fermented fish. Was once in high demand centuries ago but became unpopular due to the smell that came from fermenting them. Fell out of use due to low temperatures of the Great Storm, and only recently has seen resurgence.

Vinegar

With an abundance of alcohol is the potential for an abundance of acid. Red vinegar from wine, white vinegar from grain, and cider vinegar from apples are common in Infinity and used as a condiment in a lot of local cuisine. It's also a potential preservative, but has been less popular since tin canning became easier.

Priestess Products

These blessed fluids come from the priestesses of Infinity; and thus from the Kroniisiah herself. These are ranked from cheapest and most common, to most expensive and rare. They can appear... perverted, and degenerate, by other cultures.

Kronii Pee...

The urine of the priestesses fed on a diet of heavy salted noodles (instant noodles) and mass produced cheesy pasta (Kraft Dinner). Tastes and smells as you'd expect. Easily produced and processed and preserved, it is a cheap and common substance amongst poor Kronies. Potent aphrodisiac, highly addicting. Is offered for trade but only the most degenerate countries would actually accept...

Kronii Sweat

An intoxicating drink of body sweat from our priestesses, who spend hours in poorly air-conditioned rooms to emulate the Kroniissiah. The sweat has been mass blessed by the church. The taste is stronger and less bitter the higher the quality, with body sweat being standard, armpit sweat being high quality, and underboob sweat being premium. Similar in effect to soju alcohol. Moderately addicting and arousing.

Kronii Water

Springwater from the mountains that have bathed the bodies of our priestesses, filtered of any debris then blessed by the church. It tastes mildly salty, as it has been used to thorough clean the bodies of hikkis. It boosts the drinker's strength and endurance. Mildly addicting and arousing.

Kronii Milk

The breast milk of our priestesses, whose massive mammaries invoke the Kroniissiah. The milk is prayed over by the priestesses themselves, imbuing the milk with powers that alter the drinker's perception of time and heighten their senses. Rare and premium, it is only affordable to the noble class of kronies and traded to close allies.

Human Resources

Infinity has a booming population. Always has and always will. Takeshi ancestry joined with programs to ensure a large workforce has led to an excess of mouths to feed, and so Infinity is happy to ship off some eager workers and reluctant prisoners for international jobs.

Labor Forces

Kronies have had a rigorous work ethic instilled in them for generations, meaning Kronie laborers will readily spend long hours with hard work, and still be content with less pay. Just give them freedom to worship, rest, and seek out the company of pretty women, and they'll be fine!

Prisoners

Should you need workers for very bad conditions, or perhaps you need another kind of human "resources", Infinity has an unfortunate supply of schizos and rebels that the nation would be happy to offload. Any prisoner forced to work shortens his sentence, and so most are more than iwlling to prove themselves to some extent. Just keep them on heavy guard.

Advanced Technology

Iceboxes (not for export)

While not a product for export itself, iceboxes are a relatively new technology used in Infinity. Made from wood and lines with tin, they are able to insulate and keep cold well. Often used to store rations, they've become popular on merchant vessels for exporting goods as well.

Gunpowder

While most of the world has come to understand the creation and use of gunpowder, Infinity boasts the mass production of higher quality powder made at higher standards with better technology, calling the more common "black powder" inferior due to the coarser feel and high production of soot on weapons when fired.

Clockwork

Clockwork technology is the most guarded secret of Infinity, more than any weapon or defensive innovation. The the whole island has become known for the synchronized ticking of thousands clocks, which would could be heard even at sea before you can see the land of the Kronies. From this technology they have created automatons, perpetuatual motion machines, and other novelties. While they currently are just marvels to show off the great gifts of the Kroniisiah, research is being made to find the practical uses in industry.
