Allow Ads Guide - Perchance

From the Dev's Comment (all the way at the bottom of the comment)

As you probably know, the AI plugin servers are funded by ads.

Perchance in general doesn’t have any ads, and has always been completely free, but the AI plugins are way too expensive to fund out of my own bank account.

So if you’re not logged in, you’ll see ads.

I figured it’s worth mentioning here that unlike basically every other ad-funded site on the internet, Perchance does not trust ads.

Perchance has a sand-boxed separation between the page contents, and the place where ad code runs - so ads cannot look at your chat/text/image/etc. data in order to guess at more relevant ads.

Perchance uses a very reputable advertising company (same one used by Reuters and Aljazeera and several other large companies) so the likelyhood of shady ad tech is already extremely low, but there’s no need for any trust here, thanks to the sand-boxing that Perchance has.

So, in terms of showing you more relevant ads, all they can possibly see is the URL of the page that you’re on. That’s the only thing that’s exposed to ad serving algorithms by visiting a Perchance page, no matter how much information you input into a Perchance generator/page.

Steps

  1. If you have an Adblock extension enabled, go to your Adblock settings, and make an exception to https://perchance.org/ and it should cover all of the domains in Perchance.
  2. If you have a VPN, try toggling it, changing the location, etc., and see if the behavior of the ads changes.
  3. If you have a external Web Guard/Security Software, try adding Perchance to the exception list or disabling it and see if the ads changes.
  4. Go to your browser settings, usually accessed on the top right corner of the browser or use the following shortcut depending on the browser.
    1. Alt+E G - Edge/Chrome
    2. Alt+T S - Firefox
    3. Alt + P - Opera Normal/GX
  5. Remember to Refresh the Perchance page after every change on the browser settings.
  6. Try your Browser's Incognito.
  7. If you see no Ads but there isn't a Warning, you should be fine (it might add an advertisement there later.)
  8. Try using a different network as some internet providers have also blocking lists.
  9. Try clearing your cookies in Perchance. Warning, as it might clear the Local Storage/Cookies of other pages in Perchance, you might lose the 'remembered' data.
  10. If all else fail, create an account in Perchance. Having an account also allows you to save generators and not see the Ads. (You can use temporary email, the email is just for requesting to change a forgotten password).

I don't have access to a Safari Browser, but it should be similar settings
