copy pasted from the tavern pisscord i didnt make this

Enables Tavern to connect to the AI models on https://horde.koboldai.net/
(Keep Example Dialogues mod included)

For Tavern 1.2.8
Definitely incompatible with other mods.

Horde? It's is a crowdsourced distributed cluster of image generation workers and text generation workers.

Register and Join the Horde: https://horde.koboldai.net/register

Seriously though, donate some of your gpu computing power.

How to install:

Works best on a fresh install.
Drop the .zip in the TavernAI folder, overwrite when prompted.

Alternatively, there's a github here:
https://github.com/Aspartame-e951/TavernAI

How to use:

Make sure you have a preset or settings set
Under the API dropdown select Horde.
Enter your Horde API Key (or leave blank to use the horde as a guest) and click Connect.
Select which model you'd like to use from the Models dropdown
That's it.

Features:

Horde and KoboldAI settings are shared.
Amount generation is unlocked. (It does very little)
Your Horde API key is not saved.
Console window is verbose.
A semi-accurate queue position and waiting time tracker in the console.
Keep Example Dialogues tweak: By default tavern deletes example dialogues one by one to make more room for memory. However, in doing so writing mannerisms and any lore kept in example dialogues are lost. Enabling the checkbox keeps example dialogues and starts removing regular messages sooner instead.

Some known issues:

I'm going to keep it 100% with you. Tavern's codebase is not so great to navigate and I mostly made this to familiarize myself with Horde's API. The UI might lock up if you try to generate messages without selecting a model or it may rarely crash altogether. Reloading the web browser or restarting the program fixes it. In some rare cases keeping the dialogues on will hit the token limit due to the estimation tavern does in keeping track of tokens. Lowering the Context size to 1900 helps alleviate it.
