The Launch

It was a calm morning, near the launchpad of the Stel Reguretto SpaceAZ complex. The seabeavers gnawed calmly at the cyan mangrove bushes carpeting the beautiful beach. Low and growing in intensity, the rumble of the day's spaceship being rolled out to the pad spooked the rodents, who skittered back into the ocean.

She was beautiful. The vessel, an AZKirianne-XII, was covered in black ceramic tiles interspersed with glowing pink runes. Ribbons of blue-white vapor cascaded heavily from the exposed parts of the cooling system, from whence a subtly different shade of pink was glimmering. At the bottom, the six thrusters of the first stage awaited their signal with bated breath, ready to deliver skull-numbing starfire to the area once their time came.

The carriage retreated back to the safety of the hangar, some hundreds of yards away. A deathly silence fell upon the idyllic scene. Then, a crystal clear voice resounded from a voice amplifier.

Satori squeezed her sister's hand. Unlike most spectators here, she wasn't concerned for herself. The launch viewing area was kilometers away and up-orbit from the site. If the most catastrophic chuubic cascade occurred, they were far enough that not even the fastest chunks of shrapnel would endanger them. No, what was garroting her heart in this moment was the one sitting in the ship.

Her husband, the pride of the Pioneer nation, and the #1 source of stress of her life. Every time he promised her he was retiring to a comfier role, there was "one more op" to do, "one more prototype" to test-fly. She damned those AZKineers who kept coming up with new magical baubles to gamble her love's life with.

A blue flash roared to life under the rocket. In an instant, a furious plume of grey-blue exhaust raged horizontally out of the launchpad.

一,

GUESSU!

Down went the AZKirianne's shackles, and the tyranny of gravity over man was no more, for just her brave pilots. She rose up, slowly at first, and then faster and faster, leaving a growing column of shimmering smoke beneath. The furious sound of the screaming thrusters battered the audience, almost painful even at this long distance.

Ever so gently, the black needle angled herself sideways, curving her accelerating trajectory to the heavens towards her desired orbit. Soon, the engines could be seen from beneath; the five engines arranged around the central one formed a brilliant blue star of blue-hot magical plasma from this angle.
She flew straight and true. The launch, the most unreliable part of the mission, was a success. Her fellow watchers yelled and cheered at the new star the pioneers had just sent to join the firmament. Satori, on the other hand, put her palm against her chest and felt her beating heart calm down as she grew surer of her husband's safety. Each of these occasions had to age her a whole year...

Time Travel

Tom, a part-timer, was on his lunch break when he needed to heat up his spaghetti in the microwave... the plug was not working.
He then decided to take the microwave back to the lab and hooked it up next to a [REDACTED].
When Tom turned it on, it caused many metallic items to fly and stick to the [REDACTED].
Suddenly, a worm-hole like light was made which displayed images unlike we have ever seen before.

Tom? Oh, he's okay. Just a little radiation poisoning. Should be good to know after a day's rest.

Anyways, we managed to trap this worm-hole like thing and will begin further studies on it.

A few of those images displayed some interesting and some disturbing images.
One of those images had an image of a Joshu as a president...

SpaceAZ's Dr. Stephon Pioneer.
Daily Log

>Still monitoring the vitals from 'Patient Zero' after they were struck with intense radiation.
>Pioneer is experiencing headaches.
>He is being kept in isolation and he is growing more angry with the staff here.
>He has mentioned that he is having some weird dreams of civilization starting over. (weird)
>The whole building is hard at work at [REDACTED] , so I fear that the higher ups will want to keep this accident a secret from the outside world.
>I feel as though he does not have much time left...

SpaceAZ News

Pioneers are doing their routine maintenance on our ship.

>SpaceAZ is trying to raise money to buy a high-powered telescope.
>Preparations for our inaugural space launch is underway. The purpose of the launch is to visit a planet to gather materials and [REDACTED].
>The discovery of the time machine has political implications.
>Tom the Pioneer has been experiencing some headaches from his exposure to the high levels of radiations. Our nurse gave him a Tylenol and some Sprite. He will remain quarantined for now.
>Eric the Pioneer is considering building some AZKi Androids so that each Pioneer can have his own Diva.

That is all the SpaceAZ news.

From the SpaceAZ Security Team.

Breaking news:
There has been a breach in SpaceAZ Headquarters.

>The intruder made their way through the underground sewer system and then later disguised themselves as a scientist.
>Members say that they noticed a suspicious person walking around taking pictures.
>The intruder is described to have gator-like features.
>It is believed that they have taken sensitive documents.
>When we questioned the Director of Security on this individual, he replied with "we thought he was on the tour group".
>The Director of Security has now been let go.

  • SpaceAZ is in the process of launching a satellite (not to spy on any nations) but to help further connect us. Code named: Diva One.
  • Also, we wondered if the /awat/ nation had anything to do with the suspect that leaked out pictures of our time machine.
    • We reached out to them, but they left us on READ.
    • The suspect was described as "reptilian-like" and used our sewer system to sneak in and out.

News from SpaceAZ
>We have detected a large meteor that is on course for collision.
>Nicknamed "El Gigante", it is the size of three football fields.
>There's a good chance it could miss us, too early to call.
>We could send a rocket to move it, but where's the fun in that?
>It's Friday, so there are chocolate donuts and spaghetti in the break room.

The Guessu80

SpaceAZ had lost contact with our newest ship the Guessu80 that had 4 Pioneers in it.
The ship was in orbit when that thing that happened recently had killed all of our communication.

UPDATE

We now know the fate of the Guessu80 and her crew...
The crew sent a distress signal but we were unable receive it since our communications were down.
The crew were struggling to avoid a wormhole that was pulling them in which led the ship to lose its power.
The crew tried to contact us for help, but it was too late...
SpaceAZ will be reaching out to their family members and will make a monument in their honor.
And maybe send their families a Nintendo Switch 2 or something idk yet.

Send in your thoughts and prayers.
