>Lamy looked down at anon
>He was taking rapid, shallow breaths as he stared back into her eyes, making a horrid gurgling sound as the air sucked into his broken windpipe
>The animals had done a number on him, he was fatally wounded, his neck slashed open, it was only a matter of minutes before he bled out
>If only she arrived a moment sooner she might have been able to prevent them from hurting him so badly, but it was done now, they had fled on seeing her and there was no point chasing them
>Lamy knelt down and feeling pity in her heart took anons head and gently rested it in her lap
>Stroking his forehead she gently said "There, there...It's ok, they ran off"
>Anon could only gurgle in response, his face had turned pale white as the blood drained from his body
>"I'm sorry anon...I can't heal you. Even Elven magic has it's limits"
>Tears welled in anons eyes as he listened, the reality that he was about to die hit him with those words
>"But...Maybe you can live on. You won't be the same, but you'll be alive at least. You can be like me. Would you like that?"
>Anon did what he could to gently nod his head, straining to make his damaged muscles work
>"Alright then. It's a deal." Lamy replied, smiling.
