🧭 How to Set Up Chutes.ai in WyvernChat (Beginner-Friendly Guide)

This guide walks you through connecting a Chutes.ai model to WyvernChat using the new UI. Don’t worry—no coding needed, just follow each step!

✅ What You’ll Need:

• A Chutes.ai account: https://chutes.ai/app
• An API key (you’ll get it from the Chutes dashboard)

🌐 Step 1: Create a Custom Provider

1. In WyvernChat, click the plug icon ⚡ on the left toolbar to open the AI Connections.
2. Click +Create New Provider.
3. Fill in the fields like this:
   • Name: (anything you like, e.g. Chutes)
   • API URL: https://llm.chutes.ai
   • Landing Page: https://chutes.ai/app
   • Backend Type: leave as OpenAI

   • Ignore Chat Completion Only – This should be OFF**

4. Click Save at the bottom.
5. After saving, select the Chutes connection without editing, and an Add API Key field should pop up. Paste it in and save.

🔌 Step 2: Add a Connection

1. Still in the plug icon menu, go to the Connections tab.
2. Click New Connection.
3. In the popup:
   • Provider: choose the one you just made (e.g. Chutes)
   • Context Length: choose 64000 or 128000 (lower is faster, but less memory)
   • Model ID: 154ad01c-a431-5744-83c8-651215124360 (or get it from the model URL on the Chutes site)
4. Click the Instruct tab:
   • Choose Select Template: Deepseek
5. Click the Parameters tab:
   • For Select Preset, choose: Soup’s Stable Yapper (or your preferred one)
6. Scroll down and click Save or Create.

🛠 Step 4: Apply the Connection in Chat

1. Open any chat window.
2. Click the Settings icon (⚙️) on the right.
3. Go to the Connection Settings tab.
4. Under the Mine section, choose the Chutes connection you created.

You should now be connected and ready to chat using your Chutes.ai model inside WyvernChat.

If it’s failing to connect:

• Double-check your model ID
• Ensure your API key is correct and still active
