Treaty of Constantia
In the year(s) of 1081 VTE and 3811 GN and in light of the long-time friendship between the Tsukinode Empire and the Republic of Zeta, The Shogun of the West, the representative of His Imperial Majesty, and the Princeps Civitatis of the Republic have agreed to the following terms after much deliberation and negotiation.
- Both nations agree that the current trading relationship between each other is satisfactory for both parties and wish to continue it. Closer trading relations will be explored in 4 years' time.
- The Imperial Tsukinode Navy will send advisors, architects, and inspectors to the Republic of Zeta to help the with their own fleet. Furthermore, Naval exercises between the nations shall be set to begin in 10 years times from now, pending the Zetan Navy's readiness for such an exercise.
- The nations agreed to a partial military alliance. The terms of which are such:
- Article 1: Eternal Friendship between the states shall be established. May the divines bless this union.
- Article 2: The Zetan Republic shall not be called into wars by the Empire overseas and furthermore, it is their discretion on all wars overall.
- Article 3: In concurrence with Article 2, the Empire reserves the same right while also providing a guarantee for the sovereignty of the Republic from the ill intentions of outsiders.
- Article 4: The Zetan Navy, pending its preparedness, will be expected to help protect the Sea of Hinata from hostile threats along with the Imperial Navy.
- Secret Clause: An expedition will be launched in the future to evict the scum of the Bergazeet Peninsula. This Peninsula will be put under the rule of the Imperial Tsukinode Navy as per the mutual agreement that the Republic will likely not be able to hold it. Both forces from the Republic and the Empire will participate in said expedition, and the Imperial Tsukinode Navy will operate forces from this peninsula along with the Zetan Navy in the future to better control the Sea of Vestia and the Sea of Hinata.
- The Tsukinode Empire will try to align its own allies and vassals in some manner, whether it be through trade, or even military or political cooperation for the Republic of Zeta. Furthermore, the Republic of Zeta will reach out to the Kingdom of Lusitania in an effort to help establish friendly relations between said Kingdom and the Empire.
This pact has been ordained by the Divines, and may they bless this pact per their will.
