i love shadouge a lot i think it was my first ever soni c ship ever when i was a kid i truly cannot get over it. i love love loev shadow the hedgehog ithink he deserves to be loved forever and ever for the end of time Shadow and Rouge are work partners and battle companions. They frequently work together on missions, but are rarely seen together outside of their business alliance and do not spend time casually in each other's presence.

Rouge is one of Shadow's closest companions. After the loss of Maria, Rouge proves to be one of the two people Shadow trusts and cares about most, along with Omega, and is certainly the person who interacts most amicably with him. However, Shadow tends to be cold and often disrespectful to Rouge, as well as to others, and has a habit of not always listening to her during missions due to his impulsive temperament. And, despite being closer to her than any other of Shadow's allies, he rarely spends time with her outside of missions due to his aversion to wasting time. Despite this, Shadow also has a certain respect for her and does not hesitate to protect her from danger.

In Rouge's case, Shadow is one of the few people she cares about and shows loyalty to, besides herself. After learning more about Shadow and his dark past, Rouge has come to better understand his problematic personality, but she is still irritated by his frequent disrespect, his habit of not always listening to her, and his lack of forethought when handling situations alone. She also sometimes works behind Shadow's back to limit his violence, as she is well aware of how violent and aggressive he can be. Despite this, Rouge has a deep respect for Shadow and knows he has a soft spot beneath his somewhat cold exterior. Rouge is often the only one who can reason with Shadow, though she admits she can't calm him down like Maria could. Occasionally, Rouge tries to encourage him to engage more with the rest of his allies, such as when she invites him to Sonic's birthday party.
