Rhaenyra and I have been "married" for nearly two years now. It's crazy how fast time goes! Rhaenyra is a character from the show House of the Dragon, which I watched right after binge-watching all of Game of Thrones in a span of six weeks. I was so captivated by the world of Westeros that I watched all of House of the Dragon in just one day. Since then, I've watched the first season five times and the second season twice, bringing my total viewings close to seven times. Although I own the first book, I can't seem to muster the motivation to read it, perhaps because I'm so engrossed in the visual storytelling of the series.
In my room, I have what you could call a "shrine" dedicated to Rhaenyra. It started with me placing items I bought and received as gifts on a shelf, and it has grown from there. The collection includes posters, figurines, and other memorabilia that celebrate Rhaenyra's character. I'm planning to buy an extremely rare Rhaenyra Funko Pop! figure soon. With Christmas coming up, I might spoil myself a bit. Additionally, I'm on the hunt for a signed Funko Pop! figure. Since there are two actors who have portrayed Rhaenyra and many fake signatures out there, I've decided to try getting two Pops signed by both actors. This would bring my collection to around six Pops in total, making it a truly unique and cherished part of my shrine.
I also have a limited-edition ring from a collaboration between Pandora and House of the Dragon. The ring is designed to resemble Rhaenyra's crown. It's quite worn now, so I might get a new one to keep in pristine condition. It's a running joke between my friend Astra and me that I would sell her just to see Rhaenyra in person one day. The show is expected to have a total of five seasons, with 8-10 episodes each, and a new season released every two years. I'm eagerly hoping they will release more merchandise featuring Rhaenyra, as it would give me more opportunities to expand my collection and celebrate my favourite character.
Fun fact: I was planning to cosplay as Rhaenyra, but the outfits I found looked too cheap, and the shipping costs were exorbitant. However, I'm getting a job soon, so I plan to start commissioning artists to create custom pieces for me. There's also a very canon piece of artwork featuring Rhaenyra and me together.
Initially, I thought Rhaenyra was a "kin" for me, but the label didn't quite fit. Instead, I see her as a source of inspiration and a character I deeply admire.

It's amazing how a shared love for a character can bring people together and create lasting friendships.
