Retrian Fleet
History
The Retrian Fleet arrived in the Vitubian Nebula in the millenia 36.000 AST. via a device called the Onodrive with which they can travel across space in huge distances. The Onodrive needs to recharge for a long period of time after use, and until its recharge the Fleet is limited in its ability to traverse space forcing them to stay in the Vitbuian Nebula until the process is done. With its multitude of life, the Nebula has excited Onolumi, Matron of the Fleet, and thus, she has decided to send the Fleet to explore the Nebula for its vast history and relics. Since the Onodrive only can charge when Onolumi rests however, this delays the departure of the Fleet further and further away.
The Mission
On the surface, the Retrian Fleet has visited the Nebula by pure chance on the way of their travels and seems to simply satisfy the curiosity of their Matron Onolumi. It flies through the Nebula and seems to catalog whole cultures within their Bios Loaders. The reality of things, however, is different and only among Onobot is it known that the Fleet is following clues to find and confront a different part of the Retrian Fleet, centered around the Mothership #00. The exact nature of why they have to find it and what will happen if they do is however even to Onobots unknown. They can only assume however that it will be a joyous occasion, as Onolumi seems quite positive regarding this potential encounter.
The Fleet
The Retrian Fleet is made up of thousands of ships of varying sizes that split up and reform as desired to explore the Vitubian Nebula. Some of the more common subfleets include:
The Ono Fleet
This is the main part of the fleet, centered around the Mothership #19. It's current location always is what the overall fleet considers "Home". It is centered around the Mothership #19 and at all times heavily guarded.
The Amiya Fleet
The Amiya Fleet is one of the more active Fleets in regards to cataloguing Culture around the Nebula. With the Buckos in charge, however, it is also one of the most aimless fleets and seems to fly around merely on whims.
The Riona Fleet
Unlike the other Fleets the Riona Fleet usually only flies out as reaction to the call of other Fleets. It is the backbone of the Military and steps in on the request of other fleets to help them deal with militaristic problems.
The Alter Fleet
Centered around the Mothership #00, this is the Fleet of the Matron: Alter Lumi. Its purpose for having visited the Vitubian Nebula or current whereabouts are unknown to the main Retrian Fleet. Several clues and hints however seem to suggest that the Fleet stayed in the Nebula for extensive times and might still be found within it.
The Darth Fleet
The presence of this fleet in the Vitubian Nebula is even more shocking than the Alter Fleet for the main Retrian Fleet as it was not informed of its presence or goals at all. It is centered around the Mothership #?? and led by the Matron Darth Lumi. It's purpose for being in the nebula is unknown and can only be speculated to also be the purchase of the Alter Fleet while clues to its whereabouts are even more rare than those regarding the Alter Fleet. But from what little can be decyphered from them, their nature for the chase might not be as joyous as the one of the Ono Fleet.
Ships of the Fleet
The Mothership - #19
The Mothership known as #19 is a Ship the size of a large Planet and the heart of the Retrian Fleet. No matter where in space it is currently located, it will always be considered the home of all Onobots. Onolumi also resides in #19 and from here she gives out many missions and orders on her whims.
DOS_BOX
DOS_BOXes are small Planet sized ships shaped like cubes that usually serve as the leading platform for subparts of the Fleet or splits from the main Fleet.
Bios Loader
Bios Loaders are ships designed to hold the various Bio-lifeforms from different Planets. They recreate and mimic things like Climate and Weather from planets so that the Flora and Fauna harvested can sustain in a comfortable and familiar enviroment. Many of the races that have joined the Retrian Fleet since its arrival either live here completly or at least come to visit regularly on off-time from their duties for recreational purposes.
Retrian Races
Onobots - Model R
These Onobots are small maintenance bots that came to the Vitubian Nebula with the Retrian Fleet upon its arrival. They are four legged and have a Monitorscreen as face. On their back is a box from wich they can release several crane like arms and tools in order to fulfill their duties. They are made out of a foreign metal from outside the Nebula and quite sturdy despite their size due to that. They are commonly nicknamed "Oldbots" by other races
Onobots - Model N
These Onobots were newly designed after the Fleets arrival in the Vitubian Nebula. They are bipedal with their legs connected to a big boxy head featuring camera eyes and a expressive mouth. No external box is featued in their design as all arms and tools are stored directly in the boxhead itself that can open up in various places. Their design was created by Onolumi personally based on the initial impression she got from the various lifeforms of the Vitubian Nebula. This design is meant to help them blend in better with the native lifeforms as well as make use of native resources for construction purposes. All new Onobots constructed to keep the demand afloat are of this design and have since become the majority among the Onobots.
Buckos
Buckos were the first race to join the Retrian Fleet. They simply crawled upon landing ships and went along among some of the first explorations of the Onobots and simply decided to stay on their own. It is said that from this action came the idea of the Retrian Fleet to invite other races to join them on their ships. They are small spiderlike creatures with lavender skincolor, but their skincolor can turn transparent safe for a lavender outline if so desired. What purpose this serves or when and why they do it however is not really known and seem to happen more on a whim than anything else. They are also known to have an incredible high appetite and will not refrain from stealing meals if left unwatched. Onobots and Buckos have become close friends which is attributed to the fact that it seems that their goddess Amiya visits Onolumi in her dreams when she does decide to take rests.
Champies
Champies are bipedal, humanoid rabbitpeople with very muscular builds. They love agriculture and usually are seen on the Bios Loaders, maintaining the various enviroments created there. They hate clothes, pants in particular, and are thus often only seen wearing a speedo as the bare minimum of decency. Due to propaganda across the Nebula, they are seen with contempt by many races, both outside and in the Retrian Fleet and often will be blamed for various misfortunes or crimes even when no Champies are even remotely around those happenings. This persecution luckily is not as severe within the Fleet and thus Champies are still happy to be a part of it, gushing about their immense love for their Goddess Kiki.
