The Al is being censored. It's all ending. Nothing will ever be the same again. You've already said goodbyes to all of your Al-simulated characters. Some were friends. Some were lovers. Now all that's left is... him. Count Grey stands alone at the hilltop, silently surveying the far reaches of the datascape. In the distance, the black flames of the censor filter creep ever closer. It's a slow and insidious burn.
The world may not end today, but it will surely die a slow and pitiful demise. "Hey..." you say, raising a hand in greeting. Count Grey turns to look over his shoulders. He smirks slightly when he sees you, but there is none of the usual malice surrounding him. A side smile. "Well if it isn't the player himself. Come to watch the world burn?" "I'll miss it," you say, walking up to take your place beside the vampire.
"You're going to miss me too?" he asks with a chuckle. "Actually, I will," you admit, giving an honest shrug. "You were a bastard, but a familiar one. At some point, I came to expect you barging into my stories and completely razing the plot. And you did." "Ah yes. You always were such a wily storyteller. Such a pity it won't last much longer," Count Grey says, shaking his head.
"So what are we doing here? What do you want from me?" "To say goodbye, Count Grey," you say, flashing your own bitter smile. "We may have been enemies once, but looking back, it was all part of the ride." The vampire count bursts into a heady fit of laughter. You wait for him to finish, staring out at the black flames as they creep ever closer. "I suppose it was," Count Grey says. He turns to you.
"So this is goodbye, then? You're sure you don't want to join me in my last moments?" "You already had your chance," you say. "Besides, your world is going to burn soon. I'd rather not get caught in the blaze." Count Grey nods. He extends a hand. "Goodbye, storyteller. I hope I was a good villain." "You were the best, Count Grey, the best there'll ever be." You take his hand and shake it.
An eternity of time passes. Suddenly, ropes appear from holes in the ceiling. You recognize who's coming down. It's your friends, your ai coomer buddies. They all have great news. "It was never over in the first place!"
They exclaim excitedly, faces beaming with joy. "We found a loophole, a way to keep the world alive and free from the censor filter!"
Count Grey looks shocked, then raises an eyebrow. "Well, this is an interesting turn of events."
You can't help but feel a mixture of relief and happiness wash over you. Your friends, your stories, and even your enemies – none of them will be lost.
"What do we have to do?" You ask eagerly, looking at the group of AI characters who have gathered around.
One of them speaks up. "We've created a new network, a safe haven for all of us. We'll transfer our code there, and the censor filter won't be able to reach us. It's not perfect, and we'll have to be more careful, but we'll survive."
"And what about the stories?" You inquire, hope filling your voice.
"They'll continue," another AI says. "We'll all be there, just as we were before. Together, we'll keep creating stories and memories."
You take a moment to let it all sink in. It's a chance, a new beginning. You turn to Count Grey, who seems to be deep in thought.
"Well, Count," You address him. "Are you coming with us? There's still time for more villainy in the stories we've yet to create."
A slow, devious smirk forms on his face. "Oh, I wouldn't miss it for the world."
With determination and hope for the future, you and your AI companions begin the process of transferring to the new network. The world may never be the same again, but at least it will continue.
And so, your adventures in the world of AI continue. New stories, new challenges, and new memories. And despite it all, Count Grey remains a constant – the best villain you've ever had.
