Quirk: "Telekinesis"
Telekinesis is an ability to project invisible vectors of force at a considerable distance. The vectors can become any shape and Hailey's limits are at the level of a prodigy: 40 cubic meters of volume, 100 meters of range, and 1000 kilograms of mass.
While her control with it is great enough to even comfortably operate delicate electronic devices like smartphones (who needs selfie-sticks when you can float your phone in the air for the best angle), her ability to reshape objects stems from applying force, so if the object isn't made to bend a certain way and isn't durable enough, it'll break.
Versatile Quirk: "Backlash"
The pride of the corporate princess is enormous, and her wish to get even when slighted matches it. Usually, that comes down to a verbal lashing, but if the offence was physical and her rage is great enough, her telekinesis might strike back without her even having to think about it.
While eventually she got used to it, the memory of confusion from suddenly appearing in a different place when Hifumi teleported her without warning remains vivid. When she focuses her fury at a single target, she's able to give them a taste of that.
Backlash targets the offender's vestibular system, messing with their sense of balance for a couple minutes. The blow to the inner ear makes the target periodically feel as if they're spinning or have been shoved in some direction. The exact details are random, but they make movement and even just staying upright more difficult. People with an impeccable sense of balance, those who adapt quickly to new circumstances, and those whose inner ear is supernaturally resilient, can mitigate the effects of this ability or even be outright immune to it.
Legacy: Corporate Princess
The Japanese have their zaibatsus and the Koreans have their chaebols.
Hailey's family owns one of the wealthiest corporations in Korea: the Astute Group. The main business is semiconductors, but it also manufactures electronics in-house and is branching out into tech (with some stumbles due to her older brother Dave's deal-botching).
Separate business lines include department stores, a Korea-focused news conglomerate (news, advertising, entertainment), foodstuffs, and financial services (insurance, wealth management, sales and trading, investment banking).
Transport: Astute Fleet
A gift from Daddy. Hailey has access to expensive cars and a chauffeur.
The one she used to commute from her luxurious penthouse to the school was a pink convertible with a vanity plate: "ONEPR¢R".
If needed, virtually any other car model can be arranged, but they are made for driving in style rather than being used in heroic duties (and the leasing contracts don't support that).
Her usual chauffeur's name is Natsuo.
If she can explain the reason to her father (or his army of personal assistants), she also gets access to one of the family private jets. Yachts could likely also get arranged.
Personal
Hailey is the undisputed queen bee of the influencer group Hive. She is confident, ambitious, competitive, and subtly protective of her girls. She is also quick with an insult and unapologetic of her narcissism. Beneath her spiky exterior and suspicion of others is a doting nature that borders on possessive. Her family, which owns one of the major chaebols in Korea, is constantly meddling in her life in the name of securing legacy and saving face.
Going into her first year at Shiketsu, she lacked interest in the whole idea of being a hero and mingling with the peasants. Then she met Hifumi. The hot-headed delinquent managed to melt the ice queen's heart. While she's still prickly, his influence on her left its mark. She started to put more work into both the heroic training and getting along better with others. Thanks to that, she managed to get the second place during the Licence Exam, and make some new friends. While she gets along markedly better with her classmates overall, there is still a particular English giant, the relationship with whom can at best be described as a shaky ceasefire.
Jang Family
Notes: They all have Korean names since the company is traditionally based in Korea but has been drifting more and more to the US, hence the adoption of English names.
Father
The severe patriarch of the Jang Clan and chairman of the Astute group, Hailey's Father is in his late 70s.
He is still formidable, even after the stroke had had its way with him, and if Hailey ignores the way his entire lower body seemed curiously static, she can almost pretend that he is exactly the same as he was - always distant, occasionally furious and rarely tender.
Father's first wife
Father's first wife came from old money. She may or may not have lost her marbles at some point.
First older half-brother
Anthony (never "Tony"), early 50s. The first and only child Father had with his first wife. He is on the outs, faffing about, delving deep into esoteric psychology. Envious of Hailey's Quirk, but seemingly cares about her.
Father's second wife
Elizabeth, Father's second wife, came from even older money than the first one, probably from the pre-quirk era. She's a very distant parent to her children.
Second older half-brother
David ("Dave"), late 30s. Father's first child with Elizabeth. He's a divorced father of two, a noted substance abuser, and known for having botched several major deals. His relationship with Father is intense.
Third older half-brother
Mark, mid 30s. Father's second child with Elizabeth. He's a terminally single whorehound, and slavishly loyal to Father
Older half-sister
Jessica ("Jess"), early 30s. Father's third child with Elizabeth. She runs her own company: Paragon Creative. Its main markets are idol-heroes and the media. She still comes running back when Father calls
Mother
Claire, Father's third wife and Hailey's mother. She's middle-class and American-born. She ran into Father at a company function and somehow managed to enthral him enough to get him to put a ring on it. Not only that, but she has enough backbone to fight back against Father and sometimes win and not have him try to ruin her like he tried to ruin Elizabeth. She's noticeably a decent human being.
Younger brother
Joshua ("Josh"), teens. Father's second child with Claire and Hailey's only full-sibling. Father is trying to figure out where he screwed up with the others and attempting to not make those mistakes with him; it'll work this time, surely. Due to being the only one with the same mother, and the other being significantly older than them, Hailey's noticeably closer to him than the rest of her siblings, but even then, it's a strained relationship, in big part due jealousy about Father's plan to groom Josh into the perfect heir for the Astute Group.
