Lazulight

Lazulight currently on the world map takes up two kingdoms: The Kingdom of Pomerania and the Archduchy of Eliria. For simplicity sake this document will only be looking at crops from Pomerania territory. This document will be updated for clarification on Lazulight territory later.

-Kingdom of Pomerania-

The Kingdom of Pomerania will be divided into four agricultural regions: The North Coast, the East Lake, the Southwest Mountains, and the Southern Valley. So far the climate of Pomerania is Humid Subtropical in most regions while the mountains and valley are Oceanic. The difference between the two climates is that Subtropical is warmer and wetter with hot summers and mild winters while Oceanic climates have cooler summers. Soil will also be different between regions based on elevation and rainfall.

NOTE: Pomerania has the power to control rainfall due to the power of Pomu.

--The North Coast--

The North Coast naturally would have more rainfall than other regions. Also the North Coast has the most sunshine than other regions. On the sandy coast palm fruit (coconut) can easily grow. There are also Mediterranean summers. So vineyards for grapes and nightshades like tomatoes and eggplants would thrive here more than ever. The north is also home to citrus orchards like oranges, lemons, limes, and pomelos. While squash and maize can grow well enough they're better suited for other regions. The North Coast is perfect for fishing. Oyster, clams, crab, lobster, are common shellfish in the region. Many cold water fish such as cod and tuna swim close to shore. Sea bass, dab, and flounder are also fairly common.

--East Lake--

The East Lake is home of Pomerania's herbs and allium. The foliage of the forest when ground into the soil makes excellent fertilizer. The temperate rain forest is perfect for growing onions and garlic. The East Lake also has much more controllable rainfall due to winds not being as unpredictable. Maize, rice, summer squash like yellow squash and zucchini, winter squash like pumpkin, and legumes like kidney beans, lentils, and peas thrive around the lakes and rivers. Berries also naturally grow. Apples, apricots, cherries, peaches, blackberries, and blueberries are examples of natural fruit. The lake is also home to freshwater fish such as black bass, carp, and catfish. The rivers is home to pike, salmon, and trout. Many of Pomerania's forest hunting game live here such as deer, water fowl, and boar. Chickens are also easy to raise here due to the abundance of corn and insects.

--The Southern Valley--

The Southern Valley is the breadbasket of Pomerania. The southern valley is home to grain farms; which grow wheat, barley, and hops. When refined flour is exported to the rest of the region. Also the region is home to Pomerania's sugar beets, which is ground into sugar for all sweet pastries. The Southern Valley is home to pastures which cattle and sheep roam. The climate is also ideal for growing pigs in enclosures. Milk and wool are popular exports. Also beef, mutton, and pork are all exports. The southern valley is home to staple leafy greens: Cabbage like red, green, and turnip cabbage, kale, cauliflower, broccoli, collard greens, turnips, rapeseed, radishes, and mustard. The southern valley is home to Pomerania's most important export: alcohol. The Southern Valley's climate is ideal for brewing beer, ale, whiskey, vodka, and wine. Almost all of Pomerania's alcohol is produced in the Southern Valley. Rivers are also a source of fresh fish. Though fishing is more popular in the north.

--The Southwest Mountains--

The Southwest Mountains are the coldest region in Pomerania. Rather than rain the mountains have snow. The soil is also much harder to till than the Southern Valley. That's not to say nothing grows in the mountains. Many hardy cabbages can grow here just fine. Also cold fruits like gooseberries, and raspberries grow just fine in the mountain. Walnuts and chestnuts also grow at the mountain's basin. Goats and sheep are the main livestock of choice. What the mountains are more famous for is potatoes. Due the being on the warm side of the mountains all kinds of potatoes thrive, especially russet potatoes and sweet potatoes. Potatoes are just as important as alcohol in Pomerania as they go with just about any dish. Pine is also a versatile tree with its nuts, sap, and even leaves. Larger game such as reindeer, turkey, and bear thrive in the mountains. Fishing is possible but fish is not as abundant as the lower rivers.

--Badlands (territory claimed by Pomerania)--

The badlands are included because it is Pomerania territory. The badlands is a cold steep on the verge of desertification. Due to its low rainfall and low temperature only the most hardiest of grass can grow here. The region is also quite sandy. So its easy to fall into the sand ravines with no easy way to climb out. The land is completely unusable for typical agriculture. At best plants to forage are very hardy tubers which is only eaten as a last resort.
