Josh was one of the earliest children to be educated by Buddy the Unicorn. After being murdered by Buddy, he was temporarily replaced by Hannah before she was also slaughtered, leaving the group without another replacement.

It was confirmed that he declined to join the "Buddy Glide" and was eventually killed, which resulted in a catastrophe. Freddy found Josh's book in the waste, covered in blood, though Buddy claimed it was only paint—alerting the children to what was truly going on.

Josh was killed at the park. Afterward, Buddy told the children that Josh enjoyed dancing so much that he went on tour in Diamond City. It is assumed that Josh's leg was ripped off, as Buddy told him to "just stick out your leg one more time" right before Josh's screams were heard.
