/HAHA/ divegrass team

The purpose of this page is to help organize the /HAHA/ divegrass team and get it ready in time for the next /vt/ league.
Still WIP, will add other relevant sections later.

Roster ideas v1.1 (2024-06-30)

Player names will be decided later, most likely after we've polled the team.
Suggestions are still welcome, whether for outright new players or how you'd implement already listed players.
Sometime in early July I will make a poll to trim the ideas we have down to the 23 players that we need.
Remember, this is a /HAHA/ team, not merely a Doki team. Our roster should reflect us primarily.

Doki

• Just our beloved Doki with her brand new bounty hunter skinsuit.
• Could put DAD on her head.

DAD

• The blessed one.
• Could also just be placed on Doki's head.

Tomato

• Just our beloved Doki in her true tomato form.

DoKing

• DoKing from Sajam Slam 2.
• We could have tiny representations of Doki's Sajam Slam teammates surround DoKing (chibis flying around/sitting on the shoulders, for instance).

Crowki

• Self-explanatory.
• We have a free model we can use for this already.
• As the version of PES that the league is moving to does not have support for UVScroll, making even a rudimentary flying animation is not an option, so Crowki would either walk or just be stuck in a still flying animation.

Retro Doki

• Just our beloved Doki with her retro skinsuit.
• Could also have Crowki flying next to her, but then Crowki would likely no longer be its own player.

Alt Doki

• Just our beloved Doki with the beloved Alt Girl skinsuit.
• Could also be combined into the Retro Doki player, as it is possible to use entirely different models depending on the kit that is selected for a given match. Also extends to the other non-yeehaw skinsuits.

Doki Chibi

• Just our beloved Doki in her retro chibi form.
• We have a free model we can use for this already.
• Could also have Crowki flying next to her, but then Crowki would likely no longer be its own player.
• Could also be combined into the Retro Doki player, like sitting on her shoulder.
• It would take a bit of effort to make similar retro versions of her other skinsuits.

Super Great DoKeeper

• Just our beloved Doki wearing a goalkeeper uniform, referencing what she said the other day about enjoying playing soccer back in school and actually being a decent goalkeeper.
• The name I used here is a reference to Wakabayashi Genzo, Japan's #1 goalkeeper from Captain Tsubasa.

Volleyball Doki

• A similar reference to the soccer one.
• We might have too many Doki clones if we use all of them - what could we use here instead?

Commanderlen

• You already know.
• It wouldn't surprise me if there was a Koikatsu model for her already, which would make things a fair bit easier at least until a from-scratch model can be made.

Selenbear

• You already know.
• Was also suggested as a goalkeeper. Between her and the Super Great DoKeeper we'd have the two goalkeepers we need for the current ruleset.

Raptorlen

• You already know.

Regular Goon

• You already know.

Long Goon

• You already know.

Chonky Boy

• You already know.

Egg Goon

Buffgoon

• Which version would we use here? The Ogey Calibur one?

• I'm leaning more towards having some sort of reference in the stadium, but as I'm not sure we'll have one in time for our first league we could think about having one as a player. What would you go with?

Thomas Edison (Doki's oshi)

• Either Thomas Edison himself or a bust of him held by someone else? With a bonus nod to Tesla.
• I have a 3D model of him.

Random vtuber #13

• A nod to the Minecraft Twitch Rivals streams.
• Current idea: 5up (his pink Among Us avatar at least) surrounded by cursed dolls and Minecraft autists, some waving Spanish flags.
• There is an Among Us model already ported and ready for use in the league, so this would not be particularly hard to implement.

Meimei and Baobao

• The abandoned bunny mascots, now working in the background.
• We could have one carrying the other on its shoulders.
• Alternatively, we could just place them alongside Retro Doki instead of having them as a player (or two).

Garfield reference

• A nod to Garfield Kart.
• Easiest thing to do would be to just port the relevant models from the game.
• Could also edit it to use our eventual VGTC livery.

Clowndoki reference

• A nod to the Roblox stream.

Blood Cult reference

• A nod to the Rust Kingdoms stream.

The Art of the Deal

• A nod to the Monopoly/Filian bullying stream.

Sand Land reference

• A nod to the Sand Land streams.
• Beelzebub? Alternatively, Rao as a "You WILL play Sand Land" rep.

What the team must have

A roster

A roster is made up of 23 players. Each player represents an actual chuuba, a concept, a meme or anything else that can in some way be represented as a player in the form of a 3D model. Don't just think in terms of humanoids - you can even have something like Garfield in his kart as a player, or something pertaining to one of our ritual posts.

It's generally pretty boring to have a squad that's predominantly chuuba representations. If you want to get an idea of what "works" as a player, have a look at some of the teams from the previous league.

A roster generally has:

• 5 star players, of which 2 are "gold" medals and the other 3 are "silver" medals.
  These players are considerably better than the rest and should be reserved for the most relevant aspects of the general.
• 16 regular (nonmedal) outfield players
  These players are our regular players. Some will be in the starting formation, others will be on the bench. It's mostly a question of luck as to which of them will play in a certain match, and they will be rotated if possible.
• 2 (nonmedal) goalkeepers
  Per the current rules, goalkeepers can't be designated as one our star players. They're therefore identical to regular outfield players, but can only play as a goalkeeper.

I have a little bit of experience with 3D modeling, so be creative with your ideas.

A logo

Like any regular football team, we need a recognizable logo. Again, have a look at some of the teams from the previous league if you want to get an idea of what a good logo looks like, but a solid starting point would be editing one of Doki's official logos or parodying an existing football team.

Official colors

And kits. At least two, one when we're playing at home and one when we're playing away. The team should be somewhat uniform in its color use on the pitch so that you can tell everyone apart at a glance, especially compared to our opponents' players, but it doesn't mean that everyone should be wearing an actual kit (applies doubly to concept/meme players).

A stadium

Probably one of the hardest things to implement in practice, but again, anything goes, like literally playing on a tomato farm that's been transformed enough to have a football pitch on it.

Anthems/victory anthems

Relatively short songs or song snippets that play at the start of our matches, and when we win a given match. We can have different anthems or victory anthems for specific opponents.

Goalhorns

Songs that play when we score goals. We can have a general goalhorn and a small number of player-specific or condition-specific goalhorns.

Chants

Sound clips, usually the funny kind, that can play at random during a match. Must be shorter than 30 seconds.
