Adele Naumann, codenamed "Eyjafjalla," is a young Caprinae Catastrophe Messenger, a freshman volcanologist, and the daughter of the late Katia and Magna Naumann, a renowned volcanologist couple from Leithanien. The Naumanns had the visionary goal to harness volcanological energy for the benefit of humanity and master predictions of volcanic eruption, thus avoiding unreversible casualties. Unfortunately, around twenty years ago, during the tumultuous Septemberaufstand against the Witch King, the Naumanns were threatened by the aristocrats to hand in their research data as part of their plan to launch a WMD project that could manipulate volcanic activities, codenamed Projekt Regenschauer.[note 1] To maintain peace, Katia made compromises despite his reluctance, and the aristocrats reciprocated.

However, in the year 1095, an unfortunate tragedy happened to the Naumanns. They conducted a geological survey on the erupting Mount Unna where the two scientists met their ultimate fate in the scorching lava. Despite the survey being purely scientific, suspicion surrounding the circumstances of their deaths still linger. Many of their colleagues point out that the Naumanns had frequent contact with a Kurfürst since the compromise, and they even met an official diplomat before they departed for the volcano. Some firmly believe that the survey was an intentional conspiracy against them by the Kurfürsten to silence them forever. Even their daughter, Adele, was prohibited by the authorities from learning more about their sudden death.
