Laela's Backstory

Though she was born on a different realm, Laela Blackfyre was born into a royal family made up of two gods, God of Death and the Goddess of Life—Laela was just that, a combination of life and death. Her parents were rulers until the downfall of their home planet came. They had heard the rumors, read the scrolls that containing the foreshadowing events—and on some occasions, Laela’s mother even had dreams of it. Did anyone end up believing these? No, of course not.

Looking back at it now, most people assume that’s where Laela’s ability to manipulate dreams comes from; her mother’s “wild” imagination. Though, they weren’t imaginations after a short while, Ragnarök hit and there was nothing her parents King Isaac and Queen Freya Blackfyre could do to stop it.

After fleeing, they went to an allied Realm, Asgard. The place where Laela was born, Thor and Loki were only two or three years older than her at that time. Odin had welcomed her parents with open arms, granting them with the highest honor the realm had to offer. However, with Laela’s birth her mother was quick to take notice of all of the abnormal behaviors of her powers. No one in their bloodline contained them, she wasn’t so sure where they had come from.

Laela doesn’t remember much of her childhood, only the smaller aspects of it. She remembers her laughter, the way it echoed down the halls of the palace while her, Thor, and Loki played. It all turned sour when she had lost a beloved toy, she still couldn’t put into words what happened that night. All she really remembers was how young she was when she finally tapped into her powers but lost control.

The realm fell into darkness as creatures of the night formed terrorizing those trapped in their own nightmares. Laela herself being one of them. It wasn’t until her powers died down that they saw the form she had taken, her violet eyes had turned pure white while the tips of her fingers were stained black. Shortly after that came Odin’s verdict, Laela was to be casted out of Asgard for the safety and well-being of the people.

Once arriving to Midgard, it didn’t take too long for her to be adopted. She was adopted by the Stark family, her older brother Anthony Stark welcoming her with open arms. The two shared an unbreakable bond since the start.

Laela’s abilities are all different, she can manipulate the darkness and the shadows that come along with it, turning them into whatever creature she can think of. She can also turn herself into a shadow meaning she can teleport from one place to another. Her next one is her healing abilities, the one she got from her mother. Lastly, dream manipulation, using her darkness manipulation she can easily bring a person dreams to live whether it being a good one or a bad one. She can also enter the dreams herself and alter them however she wants.
