hellooo you can call me emma! i relate to emma frost a ton. one of the things i like the most about emma is that despite the fact that everything she says is often self-centered, in her heart, everything she does is for someone or something else. whether it be for her students, her daughters, the xmen, or for everyone's future, she is always thinking about other people. <3 im really loving the current era of the xmen. more specifically xmen united. emma taking charge, kitty rejoining the xmen, and just all of them being reunited with the addition of the outliers means a lot to me. i want to say this era is my favorite, but i havent read too much of the krakoan era yet. only bits and pieces. i really love the original uncanny xmen & the first introdution of the new mutants as well. just not sure what era this is called.
xmen evolution is hands-down the best cinematic adaption of the xmen. argue with the wall. comic writers desperately need to take inspiration from it, especially when it comes to scott. i absolutely adore scott in this series. he's well written without the need to ruin a female character to build scott's character. also, scott and jean get to be together happily without the interruption of wolverine :). i truly adore it. speaking of characterization, madelyne pryor had so much potential in xmen 97. she was really, really well written. sure, its not quite accurate to the comics, but i much prefer this. the thing that ruined it for me was that they quickly killed her off, just like every other media she's in. comic writers decide they NEED to kill her off in order for the story to progress, for some reason. she never gets to have her own story :( the only decent comic writing i've seen for madelyne pryor is in "Magik (2025)" #6, and still, its not even her own storyline...
