Text RPG adventure preset. Automatic dice rolls, CYOA options with required ability checks, failstates, possible endings and gameovers, lots of special forrmatting, character's stats that affect your dice rolls. Ability to chose one of three modes: Regular RP mode, Chat mode, and CYOA mode.

This was the most fun I had in roleplay so far. I hope you enjoy it as well. This preset requires some setup, but don't worry, I will guide you through it.

Inspired by Disco Elysium and D&D.

NOTE: CYOA mode allows Claude to play as your persona. Instead of sending dialogs and actions from the 1st person, try writing "I want to tell him to shut up", "Let's look around and search for escape", "Choices 1 and 3, but be rude", "Go ask a guard about how to get to the capital", "Choice 4 and ingage in a small talk meanwhile." It's more like classic text RPGs, where your choices lead to different routes.

Intended only for the newest Claude Sonnet.

What you will need to do next

Here is a brief overview, I will elaborate these steps later:

1. Download the preset and Import the .json file (How to import a preset?)
2. This prompt was made SPECIFICALLY to be used with my latest RPG TAVERN theme. I strongly recommend you to apply it, but it was made for PC only.
3. Copy/paste and enable regexes to delete previous choices and dice rolls.
4. Modify your persona by adding traits and ability scores to it.
5. Switch between three RP modes (3 different JBs).

NOTE: No Prompt Preview available. Download to see it in tavern. Modify the '⭐ / System Prompt (RP Guidelines)' prompt in the prompt manager to change sillyness and lewdness.

1. Download and import the Preset:

Why? It uses special formatting for thoughts, ingame tables, notes, dice throws, choices, and many more.

Save the JSON file, Import in in User Settings. Adapt settings for your screen.

4. Modify your persona

CYOA options are based on your persona. You will need to add ability scores, traits, and any other information that would help you get more personalized roleplay experience. You can put curses on your character, special items, etc.

Add and fill something like this in your persona description:

Traits for CYOA: Pint-sized, Clumsy, Gets stuck in tight places, liar.

Ideals: "20g is 20g"

You can write whatever you want. Here is how it will affect your playthroughs:

Context: My character is a kobold slave, tasked to work in a garden. He has a cursed ring that attracts males.

5. Recommendations

Note: Dice Rolls will be performed automatically with your ability checks applied! Sometimes, if you fail, your adventure will come to its end.

I would advice you to play with this prompt like this:

• Select a choice, but add a short prompt, like, "2, but let's jump over it."
• Combine choices, "2, 3, and then 1".
• Write your own choices.
• Switch to Dialog-focused prompt to stop Claude from playing as your character and focus on the conversation, then turn CYOA back on.
