In a silent hut in the forest, a lonely girl sat alone in contemplation.

She stared at the cup of tea in her hands right now. It has been quite a few months since her last heist. Things didn’t feel so great lately. Heroes were busy doing their thing, and no one gave a single eye to her heists anymore.

If no one was paying attention, then why should she get to a heist in the first place? It made her a little mad that others could steal the show so easily.

Did the children stop caring about heists? Or common thievery was no longer a thing in their eyes? Her head spun and spun, but Walpurgis didn’t get close to an answer.

“Maybe it is time for me to retire… but then things would be so boring.” She threw herself back, almost spilling the tea over herself.

Not even Chihiro was there anymore. She appeared sporadically to clear the dojo, but that was it. Walpurgis felt so alone now. No telephone, and no way of helping herself connect to others, as cell phones wouldn’t work with her around.

So isolating, so crushing all suddenly, but she would manage. With a deep breath, she calmed herself down and looked at the cup.

A black tea, black as night. Fit for a witch… ‘Alone in the woods, not approached by anyone. A witch is just fine. Hahaha.’ She laughed in her mind, but it sounded hollow.

She was not used to being so… displaced all of a sudden. The Reaper, Night Parade, the Terrific Five, so many big names that overshadowed hers so easily.

‘Well, if I wanted to be somebody else’s dog I would have done so already. No reason to join them now.’ She had her pride as a villain, if she didn’t turn to them yet, she refused to crawl to the “big shots” quivering like a cowardly dog.

She was better than that. ‘I won’t lie, I do miss Chihiro-san.’ It was always nice when they met each other.

‘Maybe I can retire as a villain and become something else…’ A vigilante was not a bad idea, a hero was far-fetched, but a vigilante life would be nice, and a neat way to break the ice she was stuck in.

“You have a longing face, young woman.” A familiar voice called her. Walpurgis sent him a grim look. If he had a mouth, she guessed he would be smiling.

“Well, don’t look at me like that. An Intruder I may be, but I do carry a special gift for you, for old times sake.” He tipped his hat, and Walpurgis’ face softened.

“Speak, then.” She said right before taking a sip out of her tea.

“A group is planning on taking down a whole armored car convoy on their lonesome. It will be quite a show in my humble opinion. If you join them, you may get the attention and thrill you seek. They were last seen near your favorite cafe, in a trailer. This one is on the house.”

Just like he appeared, he disappeared.

“Dastardly owl man…” Walpurgis sighed. Maybe it would be good. If he appeared to give that information out of goodwill, then it was going to be a show. “It would be a crime if I lost on some good action because I didn’t believe in his words.”

Besides, she was broke. There was no reason for him to help her. An involuntary smile formed on her face. Her hands trembled with excitement. She got up from her seat and spilled the tea over her table.

She rushed out of her hut. Her face burned with excitement as a genuine smile appeared on her face. Time has arrived again! ‘Let’s see if the shines shine on me!’

She hoped they would still be there, that she would have a chance to join this heist. _ =‘If they do not allow me to join, then I will hijack their heist!’_ Positive thinking, always.
