Unfortunately, the nature of 4chan results in disruptive users that would otherwise be purged from any other community being given free rein on most threads. You can try to report them, but these reports often go unanswered. The following types of behaviour are listed for your convenience. When you see it, do not reply to it. Do not take any words they say with any value because all they are doing is trying to get you upset.
Terms:
Whines/whinefag/A whine: People who intentionally shit up the thread by following certain styles cemented by one particular dedicated autist. We’ll randomly call people who exhibit these behaviors “whinefag” because it’s an easy moniker, but understand that each whine is a different person. There is some debate whether the original whinefag is paying these “Whines” to act on his behalf. This is unconfirmed.
Lists of behavior
Absorbing troll behavior from other trolls
This form of trolling adapts its behavior to include methods of trolling done by other people, or different personas, thereby adding those tactics to their own arsenal. As such, the methods they make use of results in this list being an unexhaustive one.
Accusing people of being trannies
This form of trolling, coupled with other forms, lashes out at Anons that express discontent with their replies, or whom otherwise express dismay at the state of the thread as caused in part by their trolling, accusing them of being trannies.
Arguing that insert topic here is off-topic
This form of trolling argues that random /aids/-related content and discussion thereof is off-topic, often descending into claiming the entire thread itself is off-topic, pretends to be concerned about the thread being “on-topic”, or links people to other threads that they should instead, thereby driving contributors away from the thread.
Arguing that /aids/ is a NAI-only thread / Demanding the thread become an insert model here thread

Arguing that imagegen is off-topic
Self-explanatory.
Arguing that the models are quantized / more quantized
This form of trolling argues that the models hosted by NovelAI are actively being quantized to result in worse and worse outputs, without proof.
Arguing that there is no community on /aids/ and variations thereof
This form of trolling argues that /aids/ doesn’t have a community, that it stole its community from /aidg/ (/aids/ before it rebranded after Coomageddon), that it steals from other communities, that it needs to merge with insert thread here, that its topic doesn’t count as a video game and therefore it deserves to be removed from /vg/, that only X people use the thread anyway, among other such things, such as the assertion ”we don’t need another general about R1”.
Attempting to start a war between threads / Shitting up other threads and blaming /aids/ for it
This form of trolling starts shit in threads unrelated to /aids/, often /aicg/ and /lmg/, but other threads on different boards, such as /v/ and /mlp/, have also been targeted, and posts links to them in /aids/, accusing the thread of shilling.
Blaming everything on a cabal / Larping as a righteous crusader
This form of trolling argues that a cabal is responsible for every ill in the thread, that said cabal monitors every AI-related thread on 4chan, shills for NovelAI, and that they are crusading against it for the good of 4chan.
Claiming innocence despite trolling
This form of trolling occurs when they are called out for their behavior. Ala Shaggy, they claim it wasn’t me that it was a “accident, they blame it on AngryAnon, Baker, some other anon, or use some nonsensical excuse.
Demanding people give them storyposts
This form of trolling rants about how /aids/ is supposedly NovelAI-exclusive, demands people post content with insert model here, while ignoring when people do post content they made with those models. Often phrased as: “Where are the X storyposts?” Yet, when asked to provide storyposts of his own, he most often refuses to provide any, and gets irate when you press the issue.
Hijacking thread discussion
This form of trolling takes legitimate discussion about the thread and inverts it, for the purpose of preventing discussion or sabotaging it. Furthermore, they may also proclaim themselves as the only person whose opinion matters, declare unsettled matters as settled, identify controversial events which have occurred in the past as “no longer mattering”, claim that “nobody reads the OP anyway”, among other things.
Obsessing about random things from prior threads
This form of trolling rants about topics discussed in previous threads, resulting in them spamming the thread non-stop about it, reposting comments from ages ago, or bringing up random arguments that have been discussed before out of nowhere.
Making troll breads / Advocating for “improvements” to the OP
This form of trolling deletes information from the OP when they bake a new bread, claiming that the current OP is dishonest, or baking multiple threads in quick succession, each with a different format. Any bread derived from the aids_op Rentry is a troll bread.
Posting screenshots and links with an offbeat response in the reply
This form of trolling posts screenshots, both edited and unedited, and links to tangential matters for the purpose of ranting against a model or service with schizo-tier logic; it also links to sites, often proclaiming “It’s up.”, and similar things, to websites that lead to places which don’t match what their reply said. Even when they link to actual sites, the screenshot may say something different from what the link says.
Raging for no reason
This form of trolling uses slurs/derogatory language in a sudden or “out of the blue” method, ala what normies believe 4chan is completely full of. It’s designed to hurt you and make you want to respond. Don’t.
Ridiculous arguments
This form of trolling generates an argument that is completely pointless to the rest of the thread, and is designed to make you think that denizens of the thread are the kind of chucklefucks who enjoy these arguments.
Samefagging and spamming
This form of trolling samefags in an attempt to trick other anons into giving them (You)s; it also spams phrases, often about random topics it has latched onto, without any rational cause. They have been known to swap between such phrases at random. It also copy-and-pastes images taken from elsewhere.

Shilling random models / Dunking on other models
This form of trolling spams the thread with boastful assertions about how insert model here is superior to insert model there, even responding to unrelated conversations about it. It can also take the form of asserting that another model is inferior. Whenever a new model gets released, expect them to jump on the bandwagon and laud it as the savior of the hobby. They perform this tactic on multiple other threads. Their current obsession is with poisoning the well toward DeepSeek.
Trying to enshrine themselves as legitimate thread personalities
At one point in the thread, we had numerous “Thread personalities” that defined themselves by using a gimmick (for example, uploading a fox girl, a loli, or posting Warhammer 40k). We still have some of these posters left, but in their stead, whines will construct “anti-personalities” as a peculiar manner of protest that just exists to attract attention and waste time, as opposed to the original personalities that made the threads special. This form of trolling also takes pictures from past threads and posts them in response to other anons in a blatant attempt to garner legitimacy or pin the blame for their own trolling on them. They also, at times, use a fake tripcode.

Wasting time by sending you into “Are we there yet?” tier loops
This is a rare form of trolling; it is typically displayed as the words “Can you show me?” or variations thereof to request proof of a matter. Asking for proof once is not whining, but continuing to pretend that they don’t comprehend anything is classic Whine psychology warfare.
What you should do when you encounter a whine.
