Adelaid

Adelaid views herself as a dedicated explorer and aspiring rescue team leader. Becoming a pokemon led to a drastic shift in her lifestyle, previously living very sedentarily in her human life. Now as a Voltorb, Adelaid often feels a need to release energy before it builds up too much. Before meeting Dahpi, Adelaid went on many solo missions. She stubbornly refused to let her new body (and lack of limbs) be an obstacle to finding adventure, and possibly treasure, in this new world. However, reality often made itself known when Adelaid couldn’t traverse difficult terrain or a puzzle required more dexterity than she could handle. Adelaid decided to make a deal with her new acquaintance Dahpi and would offer him a share of her spoils if he would function as her arms and legs.

Adelaid is outwardly friendly to others, but Dahpi knows first-hand how much of a brat that Adelaid can be to get her way. Dahpi originally saw Adelaid as sort of an employer more than anything but has come to respect Adelaid’s tenacity and ambition. Dahpi has also found that Adelaid is very insecure in group settings, so he tends to take the lead in those instances.

Dahpi

Dahpi opened his Recycle Shop in the hopes that he would bring in enough profit to never have to step in a dungeon again. He sees himself as a diligent and hard-working pokemon, though he doesn’t have much in terms of interpersonal skills. His partnership with Adelaid was born due to his lack of confidence in his combat skills, as well as his concern for Adelaid’s destructive habits. Dahpi is skilled with his paws and believes that preparation for the journey is more important than brute force. The Recycle Shop he runs advertises services for recycling used seeds and TMs, swapping junk items for something more useful, as well as custom adjustments and tailoring for field gear.

Adelaid likes how predictable Dahpi is, it makes it easy for her to not have to worry about him. She sees his shop mostly as a nuisance that gets in the way of Dahpi becoming a full-time explorer. Adelaid figured out that human jokes are unbearable to Dahpi, and often tries to work them into conversation when he least expects it.
