Reine then pulled out her custom white/blue/gold Switch and booted it up. Basuki then whipped out his own, a much more standard-looking version than his aunt's.

"Hmm, Smash always works." Basuki decided. Reine then crossed over to her personal fridge and opened a can of Strong Zero she had brought from the last time she was in Japan for the New Year concert recordings. The game booted for both of them and soon, they began their first match. Basuki won with Ryu against Reine's Byleth, eliciting a thigh slap from the older woman and a slight groan. She then throws down her first can and reaches up to another, as they queue another match up amongst themselves. Reine manages to beat out Basuki this time, finishing a second can of beer to celebrate. Both had decided to switch characters for variety.

Midway through, Reine offered Basuki a half-full can, which he grimaced but chugged down valiantly, Reine smiling as he finished it.

"It's an acquired taste, Bas. You'll get used to it." said Reine simply.

Time passed quickly, and soon, Reine is out of drink and has been making erratic moves and decisions with her gameplay, allowing Basuki to easily capitalize her mistakes and win. At the time they stopped, the tally was 17-10 in Basuki's favor.

"Aight, that's enough, I can't go on anymore…" said Reine, her words getting slurred, putting away her Switch on the PC table beside her keyboard.

"Eugh, I feel...a bit fuzzy auntie…" groaned Basuki, turning off his Switch.

"No worries...I can tend to you...I should be...I'm your auntie…" she reassured him through slightly slurred words. "Hey, I have tomorrow...technically later off." she added. Basuki smiled, having assurance that he has his beloved aunt all to himself for at least a day. Reine then caught sight of her own mess of empty beer cans, which was quite a pile.

"Hey auntie...what is it like? Being in Holo? Having many people know you online? Being famous." Basuki asked.

"Heh...it's been quite the ride for sure." began Reine, as she reached for her phone to inspect on her socials. "It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows that's for sure." she said wistfully, as she sat down near Basuki. "Long nights, stressful days…" she sighed, "but all worth it if we at Hololive Indonesia can provide sunshine and rainbows to the fans. Across the nation...all over the world." Reine smiles. Basuki took in what she was saying seriously, albeit with his eyes half-closing. He was feeling pride at the statement.

"Does it get lonely sometimes? Repetitive?" Basuki asked.

"Have to admit, there are times where my...biological pangs are nagging at me. Especially recently." the older woman sighed. "Luckily, with the endless possibilities of stream content, it never gets repetitive." she narrated. "Gaming, collabs, my Indonesian teaching series, and that's just off the top of my head." Reine lists off. "Back to the other question, it does get lonely sometimes, though my friends, especially Ollie, Anya and Kiara too always got me."

"Gotta say, you have great friends." Basuki said, "Like that Ollie. Just a big ball of energy, that one." Basuki smiles. "Same with that Kiara too. You bounce off each other perfectly." Basuki gushed.

"Yeah, glad I met them." Reine smiles. "Anyway...I'm quite sleepy and you too am sure…" she says, yawning.

"Yaaaaawn...yeah, it's quarter to 3 already…" trailed off the teenaged male. A few more minutes later, Basuki fell asleep. Reine then followed suit, having a full view of her beloved nephew's face, stroking it as he slept, which elicited a sleepy grin from the teener.

"My boy...you have grown so much…" Reine thought, as she observed the boy beside her while trying to fall asleep. And as if by instinct, Basuki wrapped his arm around her. Reine put her hand on top of his. Basuki may be sleepy, but he felt his dear aunt's soft hand and made his heart flutter, even just a bit. Aunt and nephew stayed that way through the night, barely deviating.

Morning came, and both of them woke up with a smile, with the adult getting up first. Reine crossed over sleepily to the bathroom sink to wash herself off, throwing off the morning haze. Basuki got up not too long after Reine finished with her wash.

"Morning auntie." greeted Basuki through his yawning.

"And same to you, Bas." Reine smiled. Basuki wiped off the "morning glitter" from his eyes. Soon, he stretched to loosen up his joints, as he always did.

Slowly, the whole of the mansion is waking up, with some already down in the hallway drinking their coffee or tea, depending on the person. A few elders, including Reisha, were already pacing around the kitchen, coffee in hand. Harto and Farah can be seen milling around the living room with the other kids eating pancakes and waffles with varying toppings depending on the kid while their respective parents keep watch. Basuki and Reine decided to go down to the kitchen to get a small breakfast, with the former opting for a slice of bread and jam while Reine just had tea.

Reisha was following the pair very closely, inspecting oddities and nitpicks. Scorn was burning through her eyes so much that it could shoot beams if given enough willpower. She proceeded to get a magazine and go outside, keeping her ears open.

Narein saw Basuki and Reine come down and the older male approached the younger woman.

"I hope Basuki helped you with last night." Narein said in a low voice.

"His presence was enough." she replied, stroking Basuki's curled hair. "Your son...he has grown a lot…" she admiringly said.

"Mmm, he's very much a solid rock for his siblings." Narein smiled. "Merry Christmas by the way Reine." he greeted her.

"Ah, Merry Christmas too Narein!" she greeted back. She then resumed sipping her tea.

Soon, the occupants fanned out to their own little groups, the kids getting the PS4 and playing games on it while some of the adults took a stroll outside, a number of them lighting up various brands of cigarettes.
