She's an heir of a local dojo, with the weight of many expectations on her shoulders along with the skills, vision, and strength of character to fulfill them... Or so it should have been. Something's gone awry, leading the heir to rebel against her calling. Yet even in spite of that, Madoka's raw talent as the perfect dojo-heir shines through. What she's lost in terms of raw physicality, she's unknowingly made up for with social skills and a keen eye. She sees through opponents with ease, almost as if she knows what they'll do before they themselves do! Were she to pick up the sword again, her opponents might find that her calm and unhurried swings are more dangerous than any frantic high-speed barrage would be.

This goes beyond just predicting people's actions in a fight. People's personalities, beliefs, their struggles and successes are things she can get a sense for just by watching someone. If she finds herself in a fight with someone, this keen insight only deepens further, letting her see her opponent for who they truly are no matter how much they hide it from themselves or others... Of course, she's not a mind-reader. For example, she might know that someone is angry at themselves and lashing out at the world, but it doesn't mean she knows exactly what events led to making them like that.

A girl set to inherit a famous historical dojo, but isn't too excited about it. Madoka would rather hang out with friends than practice sword stances, but sadly her tradition obsessed grandparents have other plans. That she's genuinely suited to it only rubs salt in her wounds. At the heart of things, she rejects her family heritage because she doesn't see the point. In the modern world, what good does a strong sword arm serve? There's better ways to support her friends in her eyes... and that's the key point. She wants to live a life where she reaches out to other people and helps them out. Learning how to be there for her friends is way better than learning how to beat them up a silly chunk of wood!

As a result, she's been largely doing her own thing, making friends in all kinds of unexpected places. She's all about positivity and she's got a particular soft spot for people struggling to break the mold and do their own thing. From the student council and its clubs, to the delinquents out in the forbidden zones, Madoka isn't afraid to spread cheer and friendship to every corner of Kageoka. On the flip side, it also means she can be a bit nosy or invasive, getting involved in people's problems even when they might not want her to be. In part this is because she's a bit too good at reading people, leading her to understand and empathize with people who haven't had the time to open their hearts to her.

A strange Idolon which claims to have been around for a long, long time. The ability to incarnate into Kukuri-Hime is passed along a certain bloodline, with only the most pure-blooded successor being able to do so. Kukuri-Hime is an ancient priestess tasked with mediating between this world and next, ensuring balance and prosperity for both... Not that Madoka knows about any of this. Her family has run a historical dojo for at least a few hundred years, with no records of what came before that.

Kukurihime is always serene and graceful. When it comes to the supernatural, there's little she hasn't encountered before. At the same time, she believes there is meaning in experiencing things for oneself, and tends to act as a silent observer more often than not, only gently pointing the way forward when needed. For her to actively intervene would mean the stakes are either very high, or that things are going very wrong.
