Kronii had told you about her past trauma surrounding her hesitation about singing in front of others, as such you were determined to help her overcome it
You had taken Kronii to a local Karaoke bar, you had hired a private room just for the two of you
She was evidently nervous, her tight, denim-clad legs were jittery, her loose white blouse and her head was shaking very slightly, like a leaves in a mild summer breeze
"Y-You first!" Kronii warbled as she no doubt was having flashbacks too her past experiences
You're by no means a professional singer and truth be told you were a little nervous yourself, anything for Kronii though
Flicking through the list you find something simple and fun and begin
Its not too hard to warm up and start getting into the flow of it, judging by Kronii's mannerisms she was acclimatising so you chose another song to warm her up further
As you sang Kronii gently vibed along with you, even closing her eyes and mouthing the lyrics along. She looked far more relaxed and content now as she gently swayed side to side
"Your turn" you hand off the mic after your second act "I'm not the main act after all" you smile at her, easing any hesitation she had
"...ok, just..." Kronii couldn't finish as she snatched the microphone from you
Pondering noises and a flick through the list gave way to a little 'umu' as she found the right song
It was a sad love song, strangely fitting for Kronii. As she began you could tell how difficult this was for her, her voice was quivering, the microphone wobbled slightly in her grasp. She focused everything on the lyrics, not even acknowledging you
The chorus hit and Kronii was getting into her stride. She sung wonderfully, you realised her "bad" singing was just her deliberately not trying. The nervousness was melting away as the song progressed, you made sure to remain silent during her performance
It came to a close and her quivering returned, her whole body was shaking violently now and she had missed a couple notes but that didn't matter
A standing ovation! You clapped heartily for her. She turned and glasped your hands to stop your applause, her face incarnadined and her eyes damp
"...Thank you" Kronii looked up from your hands to your face, tears whelling in the corners of her beautiful eyes, her delicate lips quivered. A long, drawn out kiss ensued, her nervousness thawing, her confidence rising
"Encore!" You spin her around and look through the song list together, you encircled your arms around her, pulling her close against you and rocking to and fro. Kronii picked a happy song this time and as she began you noticed a tear silently roll down her face, but she was smiling now, she was happy
