Setup & Offline Usage

1. Install the app from Google Play
   Search for Oxford Dictionary of English (the one by MobiSystems) and install it.
2. Open the app while online
   Many offline features require an initial connection so the app can download the built-in dictionary data.

3. Let the app download its database
   The full word database is already included — this app is designed to work offline once installed (offline mode is supported in the paid version or after the initial download).

   • The offline database lets you search words without internet.
   • Some features (like full audio pronunciations) might still need premium or online access.
4. Launch the app while offline
   Once installed and data initialized, just open the app and search words — it should work without a network. Offline use is a core feature of the official app.

Note:

• Some users report the free version’s offline support is limited and may push you toward premium features; the premium version gives full offline access.
• If the app still seems to require internet, it may be waiting to download the dictionary data — hook up to Wi-Fi and open the app so it finishes setup.
