Gristletooth's Tournament Round-up

Lynntao, or just Lynn casually is one of the main acts of the Tao circus. Its a haven for demi-humans and monsters with extraordinary talents which bases itself out of Carnival. She is an expert archer and animal tamer who's signature trick is doing horse archery on moving targets while blindfolded. She has some experience doing showy jousting events, but never in the context of an actual tournament. Regardless, the reward for risking herself in these events like Gristletooth is offering was far too much to turn down.
Her personality is peppy and confident while performing, but cold and calculating when she is planning and practicing. Lynn possesses no magic, relying solely on her prodigous aim, excellent hearing, and courage to push the limits of her acts.

Following his tribe's naming traditions, Hide-Render is synonimous with his greatest achievement: the wrestling and defeat of a chimeric abomination in his younger years. Since then he has patrolled the outer reaches of Carnival's wilds and learned to wield weapons well, hafted weapons in particuler make full use of his strength and size while hilted weapons are a struggle for him to use since his hands are so large. He was convinced to participate in this tournament to pay back the favour of his tribe being allowed to settle in the greener, more prosperous woodlands.
His personality is focused and quiet, much more of a doer of great deeds than one to just talk of them. His strengths lie in his strength of mind and body combined with the hardiness to survive many more wounds than most fighters.

A member of the witch coven which resides in carnival, casters of magic based around mood alteration and mind reading through the vector of song, forbidden by the church to be practiced in their lands. Heron isn't as young as she looks, really being somewhere around 60 years of age despite looking at most 20. She has been doing street performances in carnival to assess the mood of the commoners and visitors since it was a loose collection of shacks. While not competing in any event, she owes a debt of loyalty to gristletooth for giving her coven a place to stay and flourish. Her role is to keep external threats away through song before more drastic measures need to be taken.
She is mischevious and clever, liking much more to watch events unfold that she planned then to be the one in the big spotlight. Her intelligence, magical aptitude, and guile make her a valuable asset to have around.
