Plan

Update: Took anon’s suggestion and squeezed in cursed by dice which let me get rid of my bad thinblood roll, and spent the hooks on more sorcery than before

Update 2: Having learned more about the setting from anons and the wiki (in particular info on humanity and the beast), I switched Bound willpower for Repentance of the Beast and got the Osiris Contact instead of the Set Contact inorder to unlock Bardo. Also unlocking Salubri power from chronicle (the Valeren contact will result in death 100%) due to discussion on hiding the 3rd eye.

So I wanted to do a Thinblood since they can mitigate the worst of the curses. Big cost in power but I will be able to be a daywalker that can enjoy mortal pleasures and isn’t terrified of flames. A daywalker could do a bunch of things that other vamps couldn’t and would be invaluable to vampire society. I am taking Early Riser not just for convenience but because it allows me to actually operate in the day. Even options like Blush of Health can be leveraged to pass as human in a way other vamps can’t.

I assume this goes away if I practice Diablere and lower my generation so I have to STAY a Thinblood. My fellow Thinblood had some good thoughts on my initial plan of using Ogham to gain power and I decided to look up the official power which is called “Thirst of Donn”. It doesn’t work in the VtM game the way it appears to in the CYOA. It isn’t a consumption of a human soul but rather a sacrifice to the spirit of the forest or whatever that provides a TEMPORY boost. That’s fine this is an adaptation of VtM, it doesn’t have to be 1 to 1 accurate, but if we can tweak things a bit I think there might be a less evil way for a thinblood to punch above his weight class.

So with that said I am going to go about this with the Thaumaturgy path of blood and seek out secrets of permanently empowering blood. If nothing else my plan of using Athanor Corporis to brew up an amazing power that I can use indefinitely could be used for an ancient level version of the rank two path of blood power that lowers your generation for a night (conveniently the alchemy is usable once per day).

I also found out from the wiki that thinblood alchemy can create a potion the breaks blood bonds so Bound Willpower isn’t as critical as I thought.

Speaking of being less evil I wanted Bardo to keep my humanity topped up after having learned more about becoming a wright and stuff and despite the claim that Bardo requires rigid ascetism the real mechanic is pretty forgiving in that you can only practice Bardo up to your rank in humanity (I.E you need say 5 humanity to use a 5 dot power). The core meditation power is only one dot which means you can always use it (if you go to zero its game over) and the other core powers like drinking animal blood and the antimagic sign are pretty low (3 dots or less). I hate to say it but in the long term this discipline actually allows you to be MORE evil. Speaking of low humanity, I shifted my contacts a bit because I don’t want to deal with psychos with less than 4 humanity.

Also took repentance of the beast as not only does it allow me to remove a curse, the flavor text indicates it permanently weakens “The Beast” which should make things much easier long term. Golgonda is still too mechanically restrictive to me and maybe IRL I might choose to be human again and try and become a mage but that feels kinda lame to make a build that gives up on itself.

As for my sire and politics I really want to be an independent, so I intentionally set it up to be abandoned by my sire due to being a clanless thinblood. A little tricky to make the sire section, fame, and dark gifts work out but I think I got it. I am an illegal embrace but I doubt the cammies are going to care about a single Thinblooded Caitiff, Anarch. Give it a few years and no one will be able to prove anything. Didn’t make my sire except for the bare bones since they don’t really matter.

Not being able to do blood bonds due to thinnest of blood is tricky as basically my candidates can’t be truly relied on. It did mean I got to load up on all the negative blood curses though. I am only taking Mercedes Bulgari as a blood doll as a result.

Looking at the other Thinblood build, I realized why he took the “Potent of the Blood” (which sounds like the opposite of thin blood but is apparently compatible) option. It doubles your effective mana pool which is one of the main limiting factors of a high generation. Got my build to squeeze it in. It meant giving up on my dream body with ideal vessel. In any case I also found out there are ways around the torpor body reset, so the Surgeon will eventually get me my dream body anyway.

It’s worth noting that as I start out I haven't killed off my human identity yet and am not as financially uncertain as it looks.

Took the Spirited to Europe quest to unlock Koldunic Sorcery as the lore info an anon dropped makes me think it might be better to get it out of gratitude straight from the source. And who knows such an entity being free will make the world interesting.

Kind of a jackass move to do the “A Little Shake Down” chronicle, but it is easy and Valeren is a really neat and rare power. I personally would rewrite this chronicle to a discipline trade with me giving the Salubri Bardo in exchange for Valeren (they would be temporarily ill but for Bardo I bet they would do it).

Last Chronicle is straight forward in that I need more blood points.

I gotta get all the power I can because in a century me and Cain are raiding hell itself!
