The Pokeball was surprisingly comfortable. Despite the strange feeling of knowing she was now small enough to fit inside someone's pocket, the overall space felt like another home. Spinda never really thought about what being inside a Pokeball was like before, so this was a pleasant surprise.
After some time, the Pokemon felt herself suddenly shift and be pulled out of the comfort of the ball. A huge flash of light partially blinded the Pokemon and left her feeling a little more dazed than usual. After giving the pair of swirly eyes time to adjust, the small apartment in which her new trainer called home came into view.
Nothing fancy, just one chair and couch combo and some electronics scattered about.
The man gestured towards the largest room and left the Spinda alone. Some business in the restroom was dreadfully overdue. While the trainer was gone, a little playful curiosity eventually overcame the panda as she observed so many new things. The human world was not completely foreign to her, but actually being in it was an entirely different experience compared to just watching from the ash.
From top to bottom she took mental notes of all the strange things that lay before her circulating eyes. The large black glass consumed half the wall and was connected to a few devices that sat on the floor close by. Her reflection could barely be seen staring back. A turn of the head revealed a small entryway into a room with floors that kind of look like wood, but it's was closer to rubber if anything.
The walls were mostly covered in cabinets and drawers of varying sizes. What was left was blocked off by a humming box that felt a little cold to the touchand another metal object with some dials on top was placed against the wall as well. Spinda found this room a little off putting and turned to leave, but a bit of a wobble in her step caused one of her ears to snag a drawer. This pulled it open and dropped the contents all over the floor, making a crashing sound that scared the Pokemon.
With a panic, she ran away and hid behind the wall leading back where she came from. A quietness stood in the room until the trainer left the bathroom feeling quite satisfied, but the loud sound did cause some worry. A quick few steps around the corner in the hall revealed the scared Pokemon with silverware spilled all over the floor. A heavy sigh escaped the man's lips.
He instructed the Spinda to follow him so they could clean up the mess. A level of embarrassment never before felt by the Pokemon grew stronger and stronger until the Trainer could see her almost start to cry.
Did she mess up? He looked really upset about it. Is this new partnership already over? Many such questions raced its way around her mind. The trainer, sensing the issue, pet Spinda behind an ear and assured her nothing was wrong.
His hands. She had never felt anything like this before. The way his fingers delicately moved up, down, and around her head spiked her comfort levels back up. Each gentle stroke lulled the panda into a sense of comfort that could only be described as heavenly.
The trainer gives a warm smile, and Spinda smiles back. Her head pushed against his hand more and more with every passing second. She shelfishly indulged herself in this new feeling. However, as quick as it came, the petting stopped. They needed to finish cleaning up after all. So with a rejuvenated spirit, the Spinda moved quickly to help put everything back in order.
Without another hitch, the clean up was complete.
Now with the mess problem settled, the human decided it was time to make some food. Neither had really eaten since catching the Spinda, so now would be a great time. The decision ended up being just some Ramen for the trainer and some Pokefood for the Spinda.
It took a second to remember that the human did indeed have a Pokemon before Spinda, as it was almost used for battle, but it was nowhere to be found. So she took the liberty of looking for the other Pokeball, but to no avail. The man was a little confused as to why she was digging in his pockets and pulling out empty balls, but two and two came together.
It was a little tough explaining to a creature that didn’t fully understand him, but with visual aids he pulled up on his PokéNav Plus he was able to slowly tell the Spinda that the other Pokemon was on loan from a gym leader to help catch his first Pokemon. Turns out, he was a bit of a late bloomer compared to everyone else. Lots of private schooling and travel never really gave him a chance to start his journey proper.
The Spinda felt a little honored. She was his first.
The bowl of Pokefood was placed in front of the small panda, but all she did was sit down. Back when the wild still claimed her, every Spinda ate together. So it didn’t feel right just going ahead and eating without her new friend. She waited patiently, until the human also had his bowl of food.
When the ramen was fully prepared, the man calmly carried it to the larger room and sat down on the couch. After taking a second to get situated he called out to Spinda, gesturing for her to come closer. A little puzzled, she decided to copy the trainer's actions and carry her own food bowl over to the couch. There was some worry of falling over, but such a short distance was no problem. He first took the bowl from her and placed it on the couch. Then, he slowly placed his hands on her hips.
That delicate touch came back to her, but now it circles around her waist. Being man handled like this was so foreign to this Spinda, and a swirl of emotions matched her eyes as she fought every urge to blush. The low weight of the panda practically felt like nothing compared to the humans strength. There was a full second of not being able to feel the world around her anymore, when thos delicate little paws left the ground. A gentle drop in place next to the human returned her back to earth and the bowl was placed in front of her.
That warm smile returned to the man's face yet again as he sat back down to eat his Ramen.
