Kronii shuffles back to her room with a full plate while her family sits down to watch a Christmas movie

A single beam of sunlight peeks between the blackout curtains
"Kronii, get dressed! We're doing Christmas!"
It's a quarter past noon. She's already slept through Christmas breakfast. She stirs and emerges from beneath her weighted blanket.
The rest of her family is waiting patiently for her to sit down and unwrap her present.
She feigns interest with a smooth "oooohh" as she unwraps the paper.
It's a brand new scarf, in her favorite color.
"O-Oh, nice...! Thank you..."
"Who am I kidding, I'll never use this...I'd have to go outside..." she thought to herself
Later that night she muffles her sobs and wipes her tears into a blue-colored scarf. Her Christmas dinner sits at her desk, getting cold. She can hear jovial laughter as the rest of her family eat together at the table.
She pulls herself together. She was going to have a good Christmas night. She had to. No one wants to watch a crying sad sack for hours.
She hits that familiar button, and tries to hide her shaking voice.
"Kroniichiwa everyone! Hello hello!"
