The Lunar Log is the registry of every single Luna unit ever created, their date of "birth", type, any given nicknames or titles, and then their status as being in some form of active duty resting or even deceased(their date and caused of death are recorded too if possible).
So far the Lunar Log has a whooping 6,822,788 active units(about 4,500,000 are under the care of the Bases at any given time), while the deceased ones number about 434,900, and the retirees about 3.
Any Luna can look up any Luna in the Log whenever they want.
Luna units can retire after a minimum of 15 years of service.
The Lunar Legion can have one of two things be recorded in the Log:
1.)A unit is deceased and given a funeral with honors.
2.)A unit is on medical care due to medical or psych issues, as well as injuries.
3.)A unit has been discharged of their duties(both active duty or on medical leave) and are retired.
4.)A unit is on leave.
5.)A unit is on active duty.
When created, a Lunar unit is granted a Geo plushie, her glasses, and a Moon pass, and given her rank and assignment on paper.
It is not uncommon for units to get an ophiuca plushie as a gift.
In the canteen the diet is usually a single burger, water, and milk.
Due to the high demand for meat in the canteen the diet has recently been changed to the following:
1.)One beef burger.
2.)A slice of fries.
3.) Omelettes made by their friends or themselves.
4.)Onigiri.
Lunar units accept their lot in life as cannonfodder because of their willingness to take risks and how much fun they can have on missions.
While it may not seem like it, Lunar units can be quite intelligent. They usually have good grades in school.

An entry in the Lunar Log reads:
Luna unit #5628,865 born in 5th of May 21XX, Standard "Chromatic Pigeon", killed on the 12th day of the December month. Her final orders were to intercept a Voc pilot who was aiming at a military airbase but was shot down in the dogfight.
Luna unit#7238,952 Born 4th of July 21XX, Standard "Agent Trout", killed in action on 22nd of April of the year 21XX+1, under orders to assassinate a Voc pilot and ended up fighting and being killed by the Voc in question.
Luna unit #3345304, born on 16th of April 21XX, Standard "Fluffy Ducky", killed on 19th of November of the year 21XX due to friendly fire.
Luna unit #578913, born on 16th of November 21XX, Standard "Big Lizard", killed on 27th of July of the year 21XX+2, while in pursuit of a fleeing Acura whom refused to pay his parking ticket. Cause of death was determined as "shredding".
Luna unit #3545126, born on 6th of May of 21XX, Standard "Queenie", killed on 22nd of September of the year 21XX, her cause of death was listed as "in a bad mood" but no more info on it could be gathered.
Luna unit #8723410, born on 20th of February 21XX, Standard "Bees" was lost on a routine mission. Her whereabouts were unknown and her status marked as "missing in action".
Luna unit #798649, born on 19th of December 21XX, Standard "Squidgy", killed on 1st of November of 21XX+1 due to a bomb being stuck in her quarters inside her Geo plushie. Detonation happened upon hug.
Luna unit #323451, Born on 20th of March of 21XX, Standard "Blue Lizard", killed on 5th of May of the same year, due to being sent to investigate a blackout on her patrol route but was found by a group of civilians whom tied her up and [redacted].
Luna unit #10864, Born on 5th of July of 21XX, Hellhound "Pink Lizard", alive, still active duty.
Luna unit #7889523, Born on 19th of August of 21XX, Legionary "Tigger" was lost during a routine patrol in sector Gamma-306 in December 20th 21XX+5 and a video of her [redacted] was received by HQ on December 25th 21XX+5. She is survived by her son, adoptive family, and all her fellow Lunas.
